After decades of raids, the Empire of the Twelve Suns suddenly launched a full-scale invasion of the Terzan Coalition by first striking through the Zahara System towards the Terzan capital of Lesath with relative ease despite the Terzan recieving aid from the Protoss Empire and Echqatja, soon surrounding the system, proclaiming that the Terzans' 'faith would be exterminated'. All of the sudden, the Protoss Empire intervened by dealing a devastating defeat against the Twelve-Suns at Xisdon before moving onto Boqui, angering the Twelve-Suns greatly as they saw it as a disruption of them doing the 'right thing', which was the extermination of the Hyacinthan Faith within the Terzan Coalition. The Protoss stated that they needed allies against 'The Dark One', capturing Boqui and Vholkha before launching an offensive towards Antares while the Twelve-Suns ranted about how the worship of higher gods was a moral wrong, especially when it involved unsavoury rituals such as the Hyacinthans' bloodletting. The people of Irbond felt a shaking under their feet and a voice stating that 'The ground beneath your feet bears the seeds of your destruction' as Zerg Nydus Worms rose from the ground onto the planet, though this was quickly defeated. Echqatja additionally began supporting the Terzans due to previous skirmishes with the Twelve-suns, meanwhile Protoss forces reached Antares and engaged local defences there. Twelve-Suns forces which had cut off Lesath and Ezvenidar were forced back. Having reorganized their forces, the Terzan Coalition began successfully pushing back the Twelve-Suns which prompted them to launch much more desperate offensives which often failed such as the battle of Shakuras.
In the west, Twelve-Suns forces managed to occupy the Echqatjan capital of Ekatgija, launching a genocidal massacre which dealt significant casualties to the civilian population, prompting Echqatja's allies of Khae'ja, Qhal-Zol, Xan, and the Martian Exiled Government on Xin-Martia (and the CSIS for some reason) to declare war on the Empire of the Twelve Suns, while the Protoss launched a devastating orbital bombardment of Antares. Now surrounded by enemies, the Twelve-Suns were quite quicckly forced back by their opponents, with Terria-Nel capturing Kleisa, the Protoss' Tal'Darim Death Fleet pushing back the Twelve Suns, and the Protoss' Golden Armada Fleet capturing Razanna. Having lost Razanna and being pushed back on all fronts, many Twelve-Suns fleets began to surrender, with the whole nation soon surrendering in its entirety, agreeing to a non-aggression pact and minor territorial concessions.
Echqatja noted that it, and the other members of the Core League (Khae'ja, Qhal-Zol, and Xan) cooperated very well together, suggesting an 'unthinkable option' of unification. The others agreed, calling on the smaller Core Federation to join them as well, establishing the First Galactic Federation between the Core Federation, Echqatja, Khae'ja, Qhal-Zol, Xan, and Xin-Martia. The Protoss offered an alliance to the new Galactic Federation alongside the three Hyacinthan states, which the others accepted as they first considered names such as the Mid Rim Alliance, Center Galactic League, and Inner Galactic Treaty Organization before eventually settling on the 'Galactic Treaty Organization' encompassing the Galactic Federation, Protoss Empire, Terzan Coalition, Holy Order of the Seraphocosm, and the Hyacinthan Realm of Terria-Nel. After this, the Protoss decided to warn their new allies that their gods known as the Xel-Naga have an infinite cycle where they seed life over the galaxy over-and-over again until two species; the 'Purity of Essence' and 'Purity of Form' emerged and hybridized beings of both purities as the next generation of Xel-Naga to continue the cycle, but now there was an outcast seeking to end the infinite cycle via false Xel-Naga made in his image, and had acted by trying to turn the Tal'Darim Protoss into his Zerg-Protoss Hybrids after previously acting as an ally. A Human was now making hybrids for him to prepare for his return, which once made the Protoss think that Miraak had been the outcast though this was proven false after Miraak's return as the new overseeing intelligence of the Zerg Collective aside from a few feral broods, thus the outcast was likely being resurrected in the void. The Terzan Coalition interpreted this as the outcast being a Daemocosm of the Primordial Void, and agreed to help stop him.
