After deposing the dictator that rose to power in the Post-WW10 treaties, Goldaria suddenly declared that Khat was mistreating the Tigre and Tigrinya peoples within its far-eastern territories, which Goldaria used as a casus belli to launch an invasion under the pre tense of ending Arab dominance. Once Goldaria had largely occupied its claimed regions, Khat launched an offensive into Goldarian territory, managing to encircle the capital of Galas before Goldaria could launch a successful counteroffensive which cut off significant forces of Khatian forces. After pushing out most remaining Khatian forces, Goldaria managed to successfully pressure Khat into recognizing its control over the Tigre territories as an armistice was signed.
