After significant efforts to restabilise the building after the damages it endured during the terrorist attack that preceded the Quatritonian-Yetian War, the Sky Palladia finally gave out and began collapsing under the pressure despite its supports once a EPP Extremist disengaged the Mass Dampener's locks, destroying the building once the Dampener smashed through the lower floors. This collapse revealed a passage deep underground which a expeditionary force was sent to explore, where they ended up eventually finding Aldren Tremar still alive, though he escaped before he could be detained. After failing to take action, Aldren seized the opportunity and marched on the Quatritonian parliament with his loyalist militias, successfully overthrowing Almer Quatermar. While most of the country was peacefully secured, this was not universal as much of the Turkish-populated regions rose up in revolt against the new government.
Reacting quickly and fiercely, Aldren ordered the Quatritonian military to march into the territories ruled by the Turkish insurgents, smashing through their weak lines until a proper resistance could be assembled with support from the TPPY. The struggles soon convinced Aldren to order the Laser Tower Array to begin charging up, obliterating the Rostov region as the TPP was largely split in two, allowing Quatritonia to launch a renewed offensive which involved a genocidal crackdown on all captured Turks, leading to hundreds of thousands and soon even millions of deaths that forced Quatritonia's southern neighbours to accept countless refugees, overfilling regions such as Crimea and Alinya with refugees.
Aldren was greatly angered by the uprising despite defeating it, prompting him to demand that Yetia hand over all of the Turkish refugees in Crimea. Yetia publicly agreed and sent a team to hunt them down, but paid for the team to be assassinated, prompting Yetia to claim that they would soon send more. Quatritonia was angered by this to the point of swiftly invading and occupying Crimea, where all the turks were soon either culled or forced to lay low until Quatritonia withdrew. Alinya Province was livid and demanded Yetia do something, but Yetia was too afraid of the consequences if it were to pursue a full war given its recent defeats.
