In the year 209, Supreme-Leader Anahita Pianga of Sarpistan died of illness, leading to a mourning period as her contributions towards moderating Sarpistan's previous cult of personality and totalitarianism saw major success. In the past all successor leaders in Sarpistani history were decided by the eldest child of the leader becoming the next leader, though Anahita never had any children which lead to a power struggle which was 'solved' with a military coup which was incredibly unpopular due to essentially no consultation. As the 'Pianga Sphere' was rocked by the death of Anahita, the Khatian proxy governments in Saharia and Bornuvia were thrown into chaos as the Saharian White Guard, Bornuvian Free Army, and Kamerun Legionary State rose up in revolution against their governments to seize total independence from Khatian influence, drawing Khat into a conflict in the region, calling in Wanaoishi to their aid. Khat rushed to help put down the revolts as they expanded rapidly, though all of the sudden Sarpistan erupted into chaos as once the Military Council fully stabilized Mesopotamia it lost control over its Caucasian territories as the Kaukasian United Front proclaimed a 'general revolt' against Sarpistan, soon being joined by the Hayastan Liberation Army and Free Army of North Azeria, inciting further revolts such as the Kaukasien Death Squad to make their own revolts before signing a cease fire with the Kaukasian General Revolt.
Khat and Sarpistan both argued over each other's failures while the General Revolt besieged the city of Kazrezhye, soon capturing it. More chaos began in the Sahel as a group known as the 'Darfur Free Army' rose up in Khat as it aligned with the Free Saharan Front. Anti-Military forces began organizing nation-wide in Sarpistan after the fall of Kazrezhye, allowing the 'Islamic State of Hayah' to rise up in rebellion. Bornuvia and Sarpistan kept unravelling as the State of Judea, Republic of Bangui, Fifth Republic of Alinya (Who formed the 'Democratic Front'), Levantine Emirate, Sahri Republic, Sultanate of Hejaz, Kurdish Liberation Front, Emirate of Dubai rose up, leading to the Liberty Pact launching an intervention, occupying the Bosphorus region where the 'Liberty Pact Mandate of the Bosphorus' was formed, while Izmir was handed over to Choros. Conflict broke out between the Legionnaires and Bantu, while Alinya and Judea aligned themselves with the Liberty Pact. Conflict broke out between the Kaukasians and Kurds while the Liberty Pact kept advancing. Strangely, the United Floppa Republic from Theia used its space station to intervene and invade Hayah, quickly defeating the local Islamists before making peace.
The Kurds and Military Council formed a tenuous alliance to oppose the Liberty Pact and Kaukasians. The Liberty Pact itself would soon enter conflict with the Kaukasians as they refused to grant them passage to destroy the Death Squad around the same time that Sarpistan signed an armistice as interim leader General Ali Salem signed peace in the Treaty of Tulimein, carving up Sarpistan between the Alinyans and the new Levantine Federation. The signing of this treaty was immensely unpopular within Sarpistan, inspiring a certain Lieutenant Ayaz Çevik to rally the people of Sarpistan against the treaty so that their nation may survive. The army and people of Sarpistan were inspired to join the revolts, giving rise to the Second Republic of Sarpistan. Sarpistan thus struck out into the Yetian occupied regions surrounding it as local people revolted on the side of the Republic while the truce between the Kaukasians and Death Squad broke due to the Kaukasians reluctantly granting Yetia access after being defeated. With Yetia having essentially no public support in the regions it conquered, it was forced to sign peace with Sarpistan as it reclaimed much of its land. The war however continued in Kaukasia, where the Death Squad seized control, and Africa as the Kamerun Legionary State struck into both the Pro-Pianga States and Free Saharan Front, even raiding the Wanaoishian city of Slaperig. Their tenuous hold onto power would not last long though as the Bangui and Sahri rose up again, only for this trend to continue as Bornuvia and Kamerun collapsed into numerous infighting warlord cliques, with various local forces, Legionnaires, Bornuvian government forces, Khatian expeditionaries, and even the SDS Foundation's Mobile Task Force - Omega seizing control of local regions, With Yetia incapable of still fighting the Death Squad due to the lack of border access, it signed an armistice.
