Havenclose Investigation
In 325 CE, the Yatan-Theian Accord had sent a team to the planet Havenclose to investigate if it was truly habitable, only to later lose contact after sending a final generic status report, thus the CSS Eclipse was deployed by the CIS to investigate what had occurred. The planet was found to be a fairly typical Yata-like aside from its thick atmosphere and small star making it considerably darker. Three satellites were placed in orbit of which one was supposed to be manned, though no lifeforms were found aboard any of them despite the manned satellite having a shuttle docked to it and appeared to be functioning normally despite its crew being missing. The CIS deployed a ground team to the Accord base located in the planet's northern hemisphere, finding 5 Osaub-Class Fighters and a Thorium-Class Frigate deactivated at its spaceport, and the large metal door at the entrance of the base appeared to have been torn open. The power within the base was flickering yet functional (aside from the shields which were destroyed) and only 30% of the crew was found to be alive, though only some of the dead had injuries.
The marines sent to the base, whom had begun forming a defensive perimeter, began to take note of strange shadowy bipedal creatures in the fog, which appeared to become more frequent. Logs in the base stated that an automatic lockdown had been initiated without the personnel being aware of the purpose before being ambushed by the shadowy creates from within the facility which additionally opened passages for others outside to come inside to join the attack as most bodies were dragged into the planet's fungal forests. The CSS Eclipse began broadcasting regular reports about the situation, announcing that colonization efforts had failed due to attacks by hostile aliens while bodies were brought into the ship's morgue. An expedition into the forests eventually lead to a discovery of a small group of survivors whom appeared to have been left largely unharmed despite their unusual reactions to their situation and monotone affect which were promptly taken in for medical care, though once their blood was tested they were revealed to not be human, thus they were locked in quarantine despite their pleas to be let out. The CSS Eclipse reported its findings before planning on continuous investigations, though the Accord officially declared withdrawal from the planet's surface while further actions were considered. After this, several monitoring satellites were set up before the CSS Eclipse withdrew to the Koprulu Sectors, meanwhile an OMM Coordinator Ship visited the Havenclose System to analyse the planet's surface with low-lying stealth drones.
