Kalevala found itself in a crisis as the President hadn't left office despite ruling for decades, which seemed to go nowhere as a military junta under the current presidency was installed. This was incredibly unpopular, prompting the liberal-democratic Democracy for Kalevala Movement and communistic People's Worker's Party of Kalevala to rise up in rebellion against the government, with Helsinki quickly falling to the democrats and the east of the country falling to the communists. This situation prompted Luvakhia to join the Aundzer Alliance, leading to a minor dispute between Luvakhia and Nakmai over Luvakhia's stance of state atheism. As the riots in Kalevala worsened, government crackdowns on the insurrections lead to them only intensifying as a full-blown civil war broke out. The Aundzer Alliance promptly began supporting the PWPK, allowing it to seize much of the east. The DKM advanced quickly across the more populous regions of the country due to intensive public support, eventually leading to the Junta capitulating to the DKM. While a peaceful resolution between the DKM and PWPK was attempted, it soon fell apart as conflict broke out regarding how Kalevala would be run from now on, soon concluding in a victory for the DKM.
