Both Yetia and Quatritonia began to suffer internal difficulties and economic troubles since the Quatritonian-Yetian War and Turkish Genocide, though despite this Emperor Aldren Tremar of Quatritonia sent a surprise ultimatum demanding control over Vedaburg despite the less-extremists in the government objecting to it. With Yetia refusing, Quatritonian bombers and soldiers began to cross the borders as the war began. In a shocking move, the New Sizzlean Empire broke its previous alliance with Yetia and joined the war against them. Quatritonia first tried to incapacitate Yetia by dropping napalm on major military installations while it blockaded Crimea, though despite this Crimea did in fact surrender. Yetia launched a brief offensive into Bralien though this was quickly stopped by a Quatritonian counterattack that crossed into the Balkan and Czechohungarian provinces, beginning the battle of Vedaburg City. Quatritonia used the defoliator on major Yetian fortification structures in order to break through, while simultaneously the NSE launched an invasion of Alinya Province. Quatritonia broke through the Yetian lines with relative ease, cutting off Turkey until Yeita mustered the forces to launch counteroffensives. Newtown began to face significant harassment as Paratroopers and artillery barrages from Corestias greatly disrupted the city's services as clashes began between the Paratroopers and the local garrisons.
Despite Yetia's counterattacks, their lines were soon broken once more once the NSE had mopped up all resistance in Alinya, allowing itself and Quatritonia to launch a massive offensive into the Balkans, forcing Yetia to begin evacuating the region. The Mediterranean started to become fiercely contested as Yetia attempted to block support to Quatritonia's holdings in Corestias and Iberia, leading to a series of major naval battles as the NSE's marines began to encroach further westwards. Yetia managed to eventually repel the Quatritonian naval operations and even push back in some areas of the balkans, though the NSE claimed they would resolve these troubles soon by invading the heavily militarized Balearic Islands. Yetia launched a surprise offensive that broke through the Quatritonian lines, putting Palladia in jeopardy as Yetia moved towards the city, which the NSE said was an encirclement attempt. Quatritonia ramped up its own offensives to stop Yetia's maneuvre while the NSE began naval landings across the Western Mediterranean in order to tie up Yetian forces, greatly being helped by usage of the Laser Tower Array on the Alps.
Yetia's offensive began to slow down, allowing Quatritonia to utilise a new variation of the Laser Array which created a focused destruction beam which they fired on the Yetian military, destroying much of Palladia and Vedaburg in the process yet wiping out nearly a third of the Yetian military. Yetia's lines became incredibly disorganized by this attack, allowing Quatritonia to soon launch aa new offensive. Yetia fought back desperately in an attempt to hold back the enemy, though continued shots of the Defoliator onto Yetia while it continued to fall back seemed to suggest Yetia's defeat would be inevitable, especially after the destruction of Newtown and a NSE missile gravely injuring Premier Ella, leaving Vice-Premier Alana Tremar as acting head of state, though she soon would be killed by Aldren's defoliator blasts. Having been left without leadership, General Adrian (the general in charge of the Vedaburg Theatre) was appointed as interim premier, though in a sudden move a NSE sympathiser by the name of General Xin stormed the Yetian parliament and forced them to declare him as the true Premier of the newly founded Yetian National State in opposition to Adrian's Third Commonwealth, though with NSE aid the YNS quickly managed to slowly crush all resistance as they merged with the NSE to form the Empire of Yetia-Xindao (A Personal Union consisting of the 'Kingdom of Xindao' on Cyprus and 'New Yetian Empire' on the mainland). With the war now over, the NSE has cemented its control over former Yetia while Quatritonia gained Crimea and significant influence over former Yetia.
Aftermath
The NSE's consolidation of power over Yetia incited panic in nations such as Lineland and Sipedro, but it was also welcome by countries like the NLE. Yetia-Xindao tried to avoid unnecessary international attention by claiming it would stay out of conflicts and be neutral.
