Spinese Great Purge

After the election of James Smith, Spisos had devoted itself to hunting down and imprisoning all "witches" it could until its prisons began to overflow. The solution they came up with was to begin mass executions via burning them at the stake because they would 'curse everybody'. These witch-hunts grew increasingly abritrary, as even literacy was considered a penalty of death for the nation's female populace (which lead to books being largely criminalized).
