With Luxuria largely failing in its objectives in the Luxurian-Sizzlean War, Abard decided to insult them for their failures. Luxuria threatened them, stating their army hadn't had any major losses, which Abard responded to be criticizing their tactics and launching a raid in Luxuria. Luxuria was subequently angered, sending an army of 1 million into Abard to bring them to submission. With an army of only 10 thousand at their disposal, the government of Abard saw no chance at victory and subsequently surrendered without much of a fight, though various rebel groups did not see this as the right course of action, deciding to continue to resist Luxurian rule over what was now 'Luxurian Abard' via guerilla tactics, though usage of terror-tactics leads to Luxuria successfully subduing this insurgency with relatively little effort. Unlike their previous conquests, the fall of Abard received relatively little international condemnation due to Abard's highly controversial status following World War 2.
Aftermath
Largescale civil unrest would regardless follow, with communist insurgents beginning to rise up throughout Luxurian Abard. In order to mitigate this issue, Luxuria first invested into improved education in the region and fixing Abard's ongoing hyperinflation by implementing the Luxurian Dollar in the region. In order to solve the concurrent unemployment issues, Luxuria began setting up various engineering and factory jobs in Abard, with the region becoming vital for Luxuria's arms industry.
