Sarpistani Assassination Plot
The government of Sarpistan seemed to suspect that there was on ongoing assassination plot targeting Supreme Leader Safir Pianga, which Hongerswak called preposterous as Safir was 'too epic to assassinate'. Sarpistan soon discovered that one of the country's top generals was responsible for the plot, prompting Safir to officially sign an arrest warrant only for said general to sneak up behind him and hold him at gun-point just before it was published, though Safir did manage to press a secret button that called the guards, who gunned him down once he dropped a canister containing a neurotoxic gas which made Safir and the guards fell unconscious, though they were successfully recovered and hospitalized. With the Supreme Leader incapacitated, Safir's wife Sanaa Pianga was confirmed as Acting S. Leader, leading to her publicly announcing the incident and how Safir was likely to recover. Across Sarpistan and its proxies a mourning period was instituted despite Safir not being dead.
