Yetia's defeat in the Second Sizzlean-Yetian War sent them down a rather dark path as fires, riots, and violence spread throughout the nation as revolt after revolt rocked the Yetian State's tenuous hold over its territory, with factions such as the 'Socialist Republic of Yetia', 'Red Army of Yetia', 'Socialist Republic of England', and 'Free Vandam Republic' emerging and falling as crackdowns occurred. While the situation was already bad, it only got worse as Yetia began suffering from extreme hyperinflation of its currency, with the Yetian Dollar becoming worth a fraction of its previous value, making it incapable of paying off its debts. Sizzle suddenly suggested unification until Yetia was functional once more, with Sizzle saying they could undo the past and become great once again. Yetia remained apprehensive, fearing that they would compromise their morals and democracy if they were to accept the offer. Yetia called Sizzle's plans of conquest and greatness evil and antidemocratic, but Yetia considered its options, stating that it did want revenge against the world, making Sizzle pleased as Yetia seemed to be considering its options. After a while of deliberation, Yetia came to a decision and accepted Sizzle's offer, signing the Acts of Union to establish the Sizzlean-Yetian Empire as Yetia, Sizzle, and Sizzle's subjects were all integrated into one federal state.
