Plans labelled 'Operation Thunder' drafted by the Second Sizzlean-Yetian Empire to invade Sarpistan to gain control over its oil fields were leaked, which Sarpistan had already suspected to exist for some time, giving them valuable time to prepare as the international community readied itself for 'Operation Thunder' and another plan named 'Operation Sandstrike' set to occur after it. The SYE would soon declare war on Sarpistan, whom quickly received support from their ally Hongerswak and the Anti Sizzle-Yetia Coalition, mainly from Sipedro. The Sarpistani defence quickly collapsed as Yetia swiftly conquered most of the country apart from its lands in North Africa, where Sarpistan was forced to sign an armistice that saw it recognizing Yetia's invasion of its other territories.
Waclaw would soon warn Sipedro of the impending beginning of 'Operation Sandstrike' designed to take out the enemies of the Empire, stating that they had seen the SYE's navy heading out west towards the Americas, drawing Waclaw into the Coalition in result. Yetian forces suddenly occupied the unclaimed island of Cuba, from which they launched an invasion of the Yucatan peninsula, prompting Sipedro to quickly move to respond. Sipedro quickly broke through the enemy lines and moved to liberate the Yucatan, only for the SYE to launch a surprise invasion through Veracruz towards the Sipedroan capital of Fietrar, which the local populace rallied to fight against alongside the Sipedroan and Sizzlean armies. After having cut Sipedro in half, the SYE moved to quickly secure the northern half of the country as Yorican forces began flooding in across the Rio Grande, breaking through the SYE lines thanks to the surprise factor, managing to force the SYE to retreat from Sipedro and Cuba to avoid being destroyed after Veracruz was liberated.
Now at war with much of the planet, the SYE began a series of bombing campaigns and operations to further secure its resource supply, hoping to win a war of attrition against the Coalition even if more members joined the war. The SYE first launched a new offensive into Sarpistan, occupying its remaining lands as the nation's government fled to Hongerswak thru the Nile River, staying with his wife Kamina Pianga and his children in the area. The Coalition quickly acted to get the rest of its members into the war, successfully bribing them into joining the war. Now having many fronts available to them, the Coalition launched an offensive thru Choros into Yetia, uncovering that the SYE was reliant on fuel imported from Sarpistan, prompting the Coalition to launch an invasion thru the Fertile Crescent. The fighting became more and more deadly for both sides the longer it continued as the SYE fought desperately, briefly managing to reconnect its forces after Choros had cut off Istanbul until their fuel supplies ran out due to Sipedro capturing Sarpistan, allowing the Coalition to launch an all-out offensive into Yetia. The Yetian populace and even military began to grow wary of continuing the war, which was swiftly cracked down upon as the SYE began making various diversionary attacks into places like Taiwan to draw attention away from its collapsing front. With the Yetian frontlines actively collapsing, Waclaw and the Coalition's members in the British Isles launched a simultaneous offensive coordinated with the one coming from the southeast, convincing the SYE to take much more drastic actions by firebombing Sipedro with napalm until their bombers were shot down, forcing them to send small teams to carry out the task. This incident enraged Sipedro, who began burning down Yetia as they advanced, causing the Yetian war effort to begin collapsing around them, capitulating once their government had been captured. Under the orders of president Henry El Fiesta, Sipedro began burning down all of Yetia with gasoline, distracting the coalition enough to not notice Lineland occupying Taiwan and establishing the Democratic People's Republic of Taiwan.
Aftermath
Yetia fell into chaos as most structures and forests burned away under the direction of Sipedro and Choros, with the Coalition promptly withdrawing all of its forces from Yetia as they allowed it figure out re-establishing a government by itself. Sizzle felt bad for Yetia's situation so they decided to begin sending firefighters and humanitarian workers to the region. This situation was considered unnecessarily cruel by many members of the Coalition such as England, Ireland, and Utsong, prompting them to leave the alliance. Skirmishes began occurring between Sizzlean and Chorosian soldiers as Sizzle rushed in to help, with the 'government' emerging in Yetia only capable of rationing what wasn't on fire and hurling insults at Sipedro, which were reciprocated with angry rants. Tensions began emerging in Sipedroan-occupied New Sizzle as anti-Yetian rhetoric started being taught in schools.
Yetia would soon assemble itself some-sort of government under the rule of Catherine II Yetevia from the House of Yetevia, whom managed to successfully gain help from Luxuria to put out fires in both Sipedro and Yetia (with Yetia being first due to Sipedro and Choros sabotaging the firefighting efforts), leading to Luxuria, Sizzle, and Yetia to form the Second Waclaw Pact between one another.
