After Operation Thunder & Operation Sandstrike the country of Sarpistan had fallen under the control of the Anti Sizzle-Yetia Coalition, whom had established the "Democratic Union of Sarpistan" within the territory. The nation's former ruler Abul Qasim and his supporters were displeased by this, and rallied their numbers alongside support from Hongerswak to reclaim the territory, eventually gathering enough support to launch an uprising. Local insurgents loyal to Abul rose up throughout the country as Abul and his army alongside several thousand Hongerswakan soldiers moved up thru the nile river, where he was defeated by the Democrats due to their support from Sipedro and Choros. After years of stalemate, the Abulist forces managed to make a major breakthrough due to Sipedro's leadership crisis during the war, quickly besieging and capturing the cities of Cairo and Baghdad, leading to the Democratic Union to lose all support which forced its capitulation.
