Ellaria was going about its day as a fairly peaceful state until it was suddenly interrupted by a loud booming voice from some layer of reality beyond where it was from which demanded that it invade Malakia at once. Ellaria was initially hesitant, but once cats began dying of unknown causes Ellaria decided to follow its orders and launch an invasion of Malakia with its militarized cats.

This event caught the international community of guard, leading to Denasola contacting Iujadogia thru the Asophanians and informing them that Nihilantis had resorted to blackmailing innocent states to get its way. Malakia attempted to attack into Ellaria, but was quickly forced out after Ellaria managed to outnumber them, leading to Iujadogia recommending against intervening as it would only make it worse before cutting contact. Malakia begged to know what was happening, but Ellaria kept fighting out of fear of its cats dying. Once Ellaria reached the Niger River, Malakia realised there was now ay it could win so it rushed to the coast in order to evacuate its government via the sea before it was too late, leading to many Malakians resettling in Eteria. With Malakia now defeated, Nihilantis resurrected all the dead cats in order to keep Ellaria in line.
