The events of the Italian-Roman Unification caught the attention of the recently independent Ezon and Najova, as both of them found this concerning. Ezon got mad over Najova agreeing with them as Najova claimed Ezon as its rightful territory, which made Najova start arguing back which made Ezon accuse Najova of not existing for nearly a century, which made Najova mad enough to accuse Ezon of illegally occupying Najovans against their will, making both of them start threatening war which soon escalated into an actual conflict as Najova declared war. The members of the Adriatic Alliance took notice of this, with Choros first bringing it to attention while the Roman half of Italy proposed a invasion to unify with the local Italians, making Vedaburg realise that it could reclaim some lost territories, soon leading to the entire alliance being convinced that intervention was a good idea.
While Najova and Ezon were fighting each other, Najova was suddenly caught off guard by Adriatic soldiers invading its country which Ezon said was Najova's own fault. A communist uprising by the name of the 'People's Partisan Movement' rose up in the quickly collapsing Najova, leading to even further tensions between Ezon and Najova despite Italian invasions all across both of their coastlines. With the Adriatics continuing to advance, Ezon and Najova finally agreed to a cease fire as the two began collaborating against their common enemy. Roman strategists proposed splitting the two down the middle so that Najova could be wiped out easily. The operations against Najova were fairly successful while Ezon began fighting back fairly effectively to the point of actively threatening Choros, but Rome pressured the Adriatics to keep fighting as Najova had fallen. Soon afterwards, Ezon was finally defeated as well as the Adriatics only had one enemy to focus on. Ezon and Najova were thus partitioned, leading to Vedaburg annexing all lands north of the Sava River while the Italian Empire annexed Dalmatia and Ljubljana. Additionally, the Italian-backed 'Protectorate of Albania' and 'Protectorate of Crna Gora' gained independence.
