After the Fourth Linelandic Civil War, the tenuous alliance between the Manchurian LSR and Mongolian LSR broke as conflict broke out between them over their territorial disputes once more. After a brief offensive, Manchuria was conquered and absorbed into Mongolia. In order to establish a proper sovereign government, elections were organized in Mongolia as monarchists, democrats, and communists competed for power, which eventually concluded in a victory for the monarchists as the 'Khanate of Mongolia' was established.
