After a long life, Supreme-Leader Sanaa Pianga of Sarpistan died of natural causes, instating a mourning period which fell apart as the numerous military officials and Sarpistani Communist Party leaders realised there was no designated successor, leading to the country plunging into chaos as local leaders seized control of various regions. During this crisis, Yasin Pianga's daughter Anahita Pianga revealed herself and rose to lead an army dedicated to bring Sarpistan back towards the path it had set on. The Baghdad Communist Party was resistant to Anahita coming to power due to her young age despite her legitimacy, leading to Anahita deciding to take military action to prove herself. Anahita's army invaded the Tigris Military Governorate, where she had broad support from the public which allowed her to win. Thanks to her public support, the Assyrian Revolutionary Army and Mesopian People's Front aligned with Anahita, allowing her to invade the Kurdish Free Army and Oil Facilities Guard, leading to the National Defence Committee siding with her. Now alone, the Baghdad Communist Party was invaded from all sides and soon forced to recognize Anahita's rule, taking Sarpistan down a more reformist 'socialism with a human path' path.
