The SDS Foundation made a announcement regarding this incident, explaining that Provisional-Site-3 had undergone a containment breach as SDS-007 was freed from confinement due to an explosion releasing Attrick Gas on the roof, assimilating a robot by the name of 'Zirnec' who was near the facility. Under the influence of the gas, Zirnec had taken over the site and reactivated the former factories and technologies created by Red City prior to its destruction with the goal of bringing the Red Leader into Timeline-002.

Once it mobilized its forces, Zirnec struck out against the other Bornuvian warlords, first conquering Tschad, then Batha, and then Kanem. Once Zirnec struck into Sahri, the governments in Bangui and Fulfuldre attacked Zirnec, seeing some initial success before being defeated. Moving to secure the south, Zirnec attacked into Bamenda, then Douala, and then Kamerun. Once Zirnec moved back north and attacked N'Djamena, the cliques in Aouzou, Biltine, and Boukou attacked Zirnec in a final attempt to stop them. With only Oueddei remaining, Zirnec demanded Khat withdraw from the region, which it did.

While searching through the ruins caused by the war, Zirnec uncovered documents pertaining to Red Leader's Investigation of YARS, which it intended to use to access the Late Void.
