Formation of a Permanent Accord Government

After extensive negotiations following the Narakamian Concordance, the Yatan-Theian Accord finally formed a permanent government responsible for administering the accord, with several committees being formed to achieve this task:

  • Office of the Ruling Council (Council of 11 people designated as the "highest authority" when needed. One member was designated as Premier of the accord with a 1 year term, which rotated between members.)
  • Interplanetary Senate (Each member planet sent 5 representatives to the senate.)
  • Spacefaring Organizations Committee (2 seats for each organization currently capable of spaceflight.)
  • Planetary Defence Committee (Council of military marshals, generals, commanders etc.)
  • Settlement Committee (50 member council coordinating the settlement of new worlds.)
  • Exploration Committee (20 member council coordinating extrasolar exploration efforts)
  • Non-Member Planet Governance Committee (160 member council in charge of administering planets not yet considered Member Worlds of the Accord.)
  • Homeworld Intergovernmental Organization Representation Committee (Representatives from United Nations & League of Theia)

Within the upcoming year, 'member-worlds' and other represented groups were expected to receive their seats. After a few months the process was completed as the Interplanetary Senate opened, leading to Yata, Theia, Narakam, Skurial, Titan, Titania, and Triton being admitted into the Senate, while Mars was placed under the NMPGC due to ongoing recolonization efforts.
