Abyssan Fragmentation
Following the Abyssal War, the mind of the Abyssal Motherorganism fell into a crisis of faith as its 'perfect' system had expanded so far already without any consequence, refusing to admit that this had occurred as the first time it had ever disagreed with itself (which it regarded as a 'useless task' as it was the one true mind). Its disagreements and confusion caused the Motherorganism's mind to fracture, ejecting the parts of its mind containing the fragments deep into space as to maintain psychological integrity as the Motherorganism's mind began to simplify back to more primal instincts, though before this transition could be completed it sent a distress signal to the other civilizations of the galaxy warning them that 'several dangerous organisms may arrive on various unknown planets' as it believed they may threaten it some day. HAWK managed to track down one of these lifeforms and embedded it in a research station's biodome in order to study how it operates, how it responded to atmospheric changes, how it responded to temperature, and much more, which it found disorientating. The CSIS also tracked some of the chunks, but as the Abyssal Enclave closed all communications their exact numbers remained unknown aside from 5 being seen heading towards the Alpha Quadrant.
