After the 91 Yetian General Election, much of the country was still left in anarchy as a result of the turmoil caused by the end of World War 5, allowing numerous rebel groups to emerge in the country. Yetia asked for help from the Second Coalition, but this was refused as Yetia was left to deal with its own problems. The Anarchist Federation in Yetia, the Third Republic of North Italy, Turkish People's Party (Yetia), and Economic Reform Movement (A coalition of groups opposed to Yetia's ongoing economic troubles) promptly organized themselves against the government in Newtown, seizing control over much of the country as the military was deployed to shut them down. Hoping to weaken its opponents, Yetia managed to settle a cease fire with the TPPY which gave them the necessary breathing room to destroy the other revolts, making the situation disadvantageous enough for the TPPY as to convince them to surrender regardless. While the Third Commonwealth had indeed persevered, Yetia was left greatly weakened from what it had been prior to the civil war.
