Lustland bought a shipment of Cocaine from Lizarb, prompting the people of Lizarb to suddenly proclaim that their experiences in the Backrooms lead to them realising that their government was little more than a puppet of the cartels, prompting them to rise up in a communist revolution. Lustland joined the war due to being bribed by the Lizarbian government offering them cocaine and lasagna, prompting Lustland to send its largely ineffective army against the revolutionaries. As the drug ranches began falling to revolutionaries, the Lizarbian government began listening to the advice of the cartels by launching a series of public executions in an attempt to dissuade the people from revolting, which only caused more uprisings. Lizarb began bribing Lustland to improve the armies fighting the revolutionaries as the situation grew more dire.

All remaining loyalist forces and government figures fled to the regions that Lustland had occupied as Cayenne and all other directly government-held lands fell to the revolutionaries, whom declared the 'People's Union of Lizarb' while the now Lustland-backed remnants proclaimed the 'Republic of Amazonas'. Lustland and the Amazonians pushed southwards due to weaker PUL positions in the region, only for the PUL too push along the north and encircle thousands of enemy soldiers in the jungles as all territories run by Amazonas fell and even certain border regions in Lustland. Lustland attempted to keep fighting back against the PUL, but this soon failed once all resistance in the encircled zone concluded, allowing the PUL to launch a major counteroffensive which lead to Lustland beginning to try to offer drugs in return for peace, which the PUL refused as it kept attacking into Lustland. The PUL offered peace if Lustland was to hold a democratic election, which they accepted as Garfield stepped down as president, leading to Trixie Thighs being elected as the new president focused on making circuses, while the PUL began implementing communism.
