The recent Fifth England War had greatly indebted Yetia, whom promptly decided to increase taxes in Yetian America to fund its economic recovery, greatly angering the populace in the colony which caused riots to occur. Yetia attempted to punish the rioters by decreasing Yetian America's autonomy, yet all this accomplished was incite a largescale rebellion in the colony calling itself the Yorican Revolutionary Army. The YRA managed to secure support primarily from Hongerswak, whom offered monetary support and free weaponry due to its dislike of Yetia. Most fighting initially occurred in the southern regions of the territory around the Chesapeake bay, though they would soon take advantage of Yetia not stopping the expansion of the colony during the rebellion to slip to the underdeveloped western regions of Yetian America to easily gain more territory to work with.
Yetia drew the attention of a major YRA army along the northern border of Maryland and tricked them into marching northwards after a seemingly weaker Yetian army, only to suddenly cut off the YRA supply lines as the two armies began to finally fight in the Battle of Utica, though despite this the YRA army stood firm and won the battle. This northern force would soon become the primary YRA force as Yetia launched a surprise offensive against the Chesapeake armies, largely wiping them out. The ongoing conflict irritated the native Haudenosaunee Confederacy, whom promptly launched a major uprising against both sides to regain their sovereignty. Soon the YRA would attempt to negotiate an alliance with the Haudenosaunee, which was largely disregarded as both the YRA and Yetia had begun invading their territory, with especially Yetia beginning to attempt to advance into the rural areas as the situation in its urban holdings began falling into disarray.
The Haudenosaunee would soon be forced to surrender, which was followed by the Council of Yetian America voting in favour of secession, leading to all remaining Yetian holdings rising up against them and establishing the United States of Yorica.
