Yetia noted how little it had expanded lately, so it decided to launch an invasion of Scandimar and Kalevala in order to reassert control over northern Europe. Yetia seized the initiative and began occupying islands across the baltic at the same time as it pushed into Schleswig-Holstein, leading to a major battle between Yetia and Scandimar while fighting began on the baltic coast. As the battle for the Kiel Canal began, Nuan Krovh joined the war on Yetia's side and attacked into Scandimar, forcing them to hand over significant territories in Scandinavia in order to avoid a two front war. Yetia occupied southern Kalevala and landed in Stockholm, leading to Scandimar launching a counteroffensive into the city. Scandimarian Svealand began pushing for autonomy, making use of the war as an excuse to assert itself, which succeeded. While Scandimar saw some success in holding back the enemy, Kalevala suffered greatly due to unfavourable weather conditions allowing Yetia to rapidly push in thanks to their greater numbers, forcing Kalevala to adopt better defensive positions. Seeing no hope for victory, Kalevala and Scandimar capitulated and were turned into Yetian puppets alongside losing significant territories.
