After withdrawing from the Tenth England War, Yetia was sent into chaos as nationalists opposed to ending the war sought to seize power as a failed assassination attempt targeting Henry Robertson occurred, leaving him gravely injured as he fled to Niederbach Palace to avoid the sudden Nationalist insurrection throughout Newtown and Yetia City, leading to the formation of the fascistic 'National Government of Yetia', which also prompted the declaration of the 'Fifth Republic of North Italy' as the region sought to join Italy. The nations of the New Allied League, especially England, Wales, and Ireland, refused to aid Yetia due to its actions in the Tenth England War, while Creepyland pranked Yetia by saying it supported them but it really didn't. As Yetia kept losing ground to the advancing enemy, Sizzle came to the defence of their relatives, deploying its elite forces into the Siege of Niederbach Palace, which failed as Henry was soon captured and executed, with his remains being mailed over to Sizzle. The government of the Loyalists quickly fell into chaos until the succession was sorted out, leading to King Patrky Robertson being deemed the heir apparent and granted the throne, leading to the temporary formation of the Kingdom of Sizzle-Yetia until Yetia could regain proper leadership, leading to Yetia's international standing improving as Italy became sympathetic due to the Nationalists' plans to expand the country if they were to win.
Fearing that if the Nationalists were to win Yetia would be shifted towards a militaristic expansionist regime which could attack them, the Tritonian Republic decided to intervene on the side of the loyalists. This intervention managed to successfully break the ongoing stalemate on all fronts, allowing the Loyalists to advance rapidly in the south-east and south-west while continuing to face issues in North Italy. Nationalist forces in the north began to coollapse alongside their armies in Gibraltar, prompting them to launch a expedition into Palladia in an attempt to convince Tritonia to withdraw, which failed as the Balkans were cut off from the Nationalist supply lines, forcing them to make a dangerous retreat over sea. The Nationalists began to lose on most fronts by this point, which was only worsened once Yorica began sending support. The Nationalists launched one final desperate offensive towards Tritonia in order to knock them out, which failed as their final bit of strength was used up which lead to their complete collapse.
After the war was over, Yetia requested the return of territories under Tritonian occupation, which they misinterpreted as also including Vedaburg. While Yetia clarified they did not mean this, they proposed the creation of the 'State of Vedaburg' as a neutral bufferzone between the two of them, which Tritonia accepted. Vedaburg spent its first few months of existence incoherently rambling and setting up embassies in its two backers.
