Asophanian Climatator Experiment
The State of West Tritonia sent a message to the recently established Asophania[1], offering to use their newly developed Climatator laser in an attempt to warm Asophania's harsh climate. Asophania accepted, installing the necessary beacons around its territory as the beams fired from central Eurasia to the south pole, knocking out several countries' power in the process. The experiment concluded in a success as Asophania's temperature rose by 40 degrees in the affected zone, overthrowing all of the structures in a disaster that left Asophania in chaos.
Having been left without a home, Asophania ventured out deeper into the continent from its previous home at South City on the Antarctic peninsula, eventually coming across a ice cave with a massive facility on it as they unknowingly stumbled across the abandoned YARS Facility. Once they came across the facility's reactor, which suddenly exploded after activation. Luckily, the facility remained intact, allowing them to continue investigating by looking thru its computer systems, discovering strange activation text and references to the YNF. They began to hear strange noises as something appeared to be lurking within the facility which captured 6 of their team members, prompting Asophania to order East Tritonia to fire the immolators on the reactor, which appeared to do nothing due to a technical failure. Having lost several members of the expedition, backup was called in in order to grow the Asophanian ranks in the facility. They continued to analyse the computers in an attempt to figure out what was going on in the facility, eventually finding a document detailing how to escape, which they promptly did.
