The Backrooms Military Administration refers to a collection of settlements created by ex-SDSB militants and other assorted individuals in response to the increasing SDS Foundation influence over the SDSB, with multiple initial defections occurring which were later joined by new settlements to constitute the 9 communities which nowadays align with the BMA. Outside of their bases bases, the BMA also hosts a civilian population in some outposts such as the City of Ash. While the BMA and SDSB may of initially had some form of a unstable peace with only occasional skirmishes, in 347 the BMA agreed to a coalition with BREO and the Insurgency to together combat the SDSB, which has lead to conflicts between the SDSB and BMA.

History
In 312 the SDSB and SDS signed further integration agreements, further disgruntling more sovereignty-oriented SDS outposts. In response to the treaty, the SDSB's outpost in Dissonance declared its secession from the SDSB and the formation of the BMA. Shortly afterwards several other SDSB outposts declared their loyalty to the BMA, which swiftly became a large force within the Backrooms. Later in 312, the BMA founded the "City of Ash" as the first city in the Lonely Road. BMA Representative Dax Booth was sent to the Sovereignty Conference between the BMA, BREO and Insurgency in 347 which formed a pact between the 3 groups - all of whom are splinters of the SDSB. The Conference was a success, as the Sovereign Backrooms Coalition was agreed upon by all parties.
