After occupying the region ever since the Zinan-Luxurian War, Nilastan began to see resistance in its occupation zone at Yangoon due to it still not being returned to Nakmaian rule, which escalated once a military crackdown went awry and instigated largescale revolts as various local factions rose up and declared sovereignty as they had never wished to be Nilastan's refugee dumping zone, which was most visible in the 'Republic of Nakmaian Hoaquc' which began executing refugees which prompted the 'Republic of Free Hoaquc' to rise up in revolt as yet another faction. The ACDL saw this as an opportunity to weaken the Aundzer Alliance, so it began supporting the Republic of Yangoon which lead to largescale infighting as the various Yangoonese factions fought each other over who would unify the region. Nakmai considered intervention, but Poavak reminded them that Luxuria could attack at any time and they needed to prepare together. The Republic of Yangoon eventually managed to unify most of Yangoon, while Free Hoaquc joined Nilastan as they had given the refugees their lands in the region. Nilastan bribed Nakmai to help crush the final piece of Yangoonese resistance in return for beginning the process to end the occupation of the region. All of the sudden, Luxuria declared war on Nakmai while it was distracted, beginning the Second Luxurian-Poavakian War. Nilastan would eventually crush the revolts regardless aside from the 'Wan Republic' which successfully seceded for a time.
