Italy had estimated that Yetia's planned invasion of the Tritoniyan Empire would be within a month, and so it was as Yetian planes crossed over the borders and bombed out railways and highways as Yetia invaded from 2 fronts, prompting Tritoniya to begin its own mass-bombing campaign which lead to much of Vedaburg being destroyed. Vedaburg was conflicted on which side it should even sabotage as Yetia had at least given them autonomy while Tritoniya seemed to also be willing to conquer them maybe even without a autonomous status, leading to them deciding to begrudgingly begin actually helping Yetia despite them beginning to instate conscription on 15% of each of their subjects populations. Yetia put its focus on capturing Tritoniyagrad, and more specifically its communications buildings in order to disrupt the enemy, which succeeded and allowed them to push all the way to the Volga. As the frontlines by the Volga solidified, neither side managed to make extensive gains against one another, prompting Yetia to establish National-States in its occupied regions. Yetia attempted one last offensive towards Helsinki, which failed as Tritoniya pushed them back once more, leading to the two begrudgingly signing an armistice agreement as neither side could mount a successful offensive against the other.
