The Yenisei-Tritoniyan Provisional Okrug had begun supplying an insurgent group within Eurasian Security Council-occupied Lineland known as the 'Free Linelandic Partizan Association' which Sizzle reacted to harshly as it began openly considering 'pacifying' Yenisei-Tritoniya as to restore stability, though this was too late as FLPA forces had already began seizing territories throughout Lineland, signing the 'Agreement of Collective Freedom' between Linelandic Monarchists, Socialists, and Siberian-Federalists which together launched the Linelandic War of Independence against the ESC.
Rather quickly, the War became considerably deadly as Sizzlean garrison forces in Linasgrad instigated the 'Linasgrad Massacre' against Pro-FLPA protestors, leading to 160 casualties and the FLPA unilaterally declaring Linelandic independence under the 'Linelandic Provisional State' and declaring the Linelandic Military Directorate to be an illigitemate state, prompting many LMD forces to switch sides. In response to the massacre, the Yenisei-Tritoniyan Provisional Okrug directly intervened in the war as it sent 200 thousand soldiers across its borders in aid of the LPS, soon being joined by Sichilista as well. LPS forces began to rather quickly encroach upon ESC-occupied Linasgrad, where a 'United Linasgrad Military Zone' was established to fight against the incursion, while to the south LPS forces launched an invasion of Buryatia which saw a rival Soviet Republic be proclaimed there opposed to the ESC, soon being followed by the 'Federal Army of Khakassia' breaking away from the Siberian-Turkic Federation as Sizzle began mass-mobilization.
Facing inevitable defeat, Buryatia surrendered to Linelandic forces, prompting remaining Sizzlean assets to launch a military coup to retain order where possible, which the Buryat Red Army vowed to oppose. Facing a similar situation, Evenkia soon also surrendered, while to the far east the 'Federal Republic of Koryakia' seized power in support of the LPS, soon being followed by the Chukotka Federalist Army which allowed for Rurikpavlovsk to be liberated. Rallied to the cause against Sizzle, the Evenkian Federal Army, Sakha Federal Army, and Shipeniye Federal Republic arose to expel the ESC, soon leading to the Sakha Republic's capitulation. Seeing no way to achieve victory, Sizzle finally agreed to an armistice agreement which ended the war as Lineland successfully regained independence, though Perezatski remained under Sizzlean occupation and certain Sakha Republic remnants continued to resist in the far north for some time against the new 'Interim State of Lineland-Siberia'. While Lineland's independence may of been secured, its stability was not as the nation descended into the Sixth Linelandic Civil War over which faction should rule Lineland after the war.
