The last vestiges of L'Avenirism in Kalevala and Svealand began to gradually unravel as the Svealish Communist Party grew in popularity to the point of reaching 45% of the vote in the latest council elections, while in Kalevala a largescale nationalist movement as taking hold. In the next council elections in Svealand, 68% of the vote went to the communist party, which the government covered up by declaring that 85% had voted for the L'Avenirists, causing a massive revolt as the 'Svealand Red Guard' rose up. The Kalevian Nationalist Party saw this chaos and took advantage of the situation, marching on Helsinki and forcing the government to flee to the north as they seized power, leading to conflict in Kalevala as well once the Futurist remnants moved to expel the coup. Much of western Svealand and southern/eastern Kalevala fell to the dissidents, proving to be enough of a threat to overwhelm each government as the Kalevian surrealists were the first to fully fall and flee into Svealand, soon being followed by the rest of the Svealish reformatists falling to the revolutionaries. Following the conflict, the Second People's Republic of Svealand and Kalevian State were established.
