PSS Krakow Finds an Unidentified Threat

Year: 243 CE

Somewhere in Deep Space, the PSS Krakow is on a exploration mission.

They are orbiting a newly discovered planet and logging some basic data on it.

A bridge laid out very similry to the Excelsior, but smaller and more compact can be seen, the Captain is talking with his science officer.

"Captain, we seem to have a sizable tachyon surge, 5000 kilometers from our current position."

"Jesus." says the captain

"What the hell could that be?"

"I don't know, sir."

"Keep an eye on it, will you?"

"Aye sir "

The captain walks back over to the center of the bridge, holding a data pad.

"Status on the sensor sweep of the planet?"

Another officer manning the sensors turns around "Completed, sir"

"Class M planet."

They follow up.

"Atmosphere is 79% Oxygen."

"Very habitable."

"Multiple biomes."

"An-"

The science officer calls out:

"That Tachyon surge is moving towards us, 4000 kilometers and closing."

"Can you localize its source?"

"Negative, it appears to have no concentration or source, it's just a large, inconsistent blob of tachyons."

"It's just dropped off my scanner."

"It was 2000 kilometers in."

The captain sits down

"Yellow alert."

Three beeps can be heard

"View screen in the direction of the surge."

"Copy."

The view screen changes, all they see is another constellation of stars.

"Odd."

"Sir! Large neutrino surge, 10 kilometers away!"

"Let's see it."

The light from the stars is distorted, but it is very hard to notice.

Suddenly, the light is super distorted and noticeable, and a ship appears.

"RED ALERT!"

"SHIELDS UP!"

The ship fires a torpedo.

It hits a vital area of the ship, causing its gyroscopes to flicker offline as the ship shakes from the blast, alarms blare, sparks flare from the ceiling.

"RETURN FIRE!"

They fire phasers at the ship.

"EVASIVE!"

"TACTICAL! I WANT A READING ON THA-" Another explosion happens, the ship is hit.

"VENTRAL SHIELDS HAVE COLLAPSED!"

"LOCK TORPEDOES!"

"FULL SPREAD!"

"FIRE!"

The ship fires a spread of torpedoes, some hit their mark, the assailant ship is damaged.

It recloaks.

"FULL IMPULSE, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

The ship decloaks again .

It fires another volley of torpedoes, and receives a hit.

It cloaks once again.

"WARP SPEED NOW!"

The ship decloaks and fires its guns into the warp nacelle, which explodes.

The bridge systematically detonates as several overloaded circuits and systems that link to the bridge cause several explosions.

"WARP DRIVE IS DESTORYED!"

Many officers are badly injured.

"DAMNIT!"

The ship recloaks, and seems to leave the crippled ship behind.

Polsk finds the PSS Krakow, half destroyed and running dangerously low on oxygen.

They are tug back to Theia.
