A year after the Second Great American War, the conflict between Hyperborea and the Akiqattuq Movement continued as the Akiqattuq attempted an invasion of Hyperborean-held Greenland, which ended in disaster. Hyperborea seized the momentum and launched an invasion of Niaqoq, which the Liberty Pact aside from Yetia moved to prevent this, soon leading to the entirety of Kauria being secured under Hyperborean rule.
