With the Second Sizzlean-Yetian War now over, Sizzle expected that it would for now return to a state of peace, yet this would not be as the newly established Socialist Republic of Lineland launching a surprise attack by occupying Shipeniye, reorganizing the area into the 'Linelandic Socialist Republic of Sizzle Russia'. With Sizzle reacting with aggression, Lineland responded by launching an invasion of its own into Sizzle proper after securing a truce with Sizzlean Scotland. As Lineland advanced it set up local governments loyal to its ideals, prompting Sizzle to send expeditions in these lands where they found mass-graves, prompting them to launch their own counteroffensive which was responded to further Linelandic incursions into fringe regions of Sizzle, as the LSR of Sizzle and LSR of Taiwan emerged during the back and forth battles.
