With Apothilene support, a political party named the 'Yetian Restorative Party' began growing to higher and higher levels of influence within the Second Roman Republic, managing to grow an electoral win of 41% seats to 56% via a series of strategic partnerships with other parties and thus demanded political power, which the Roman government refused. Refusing to take no for an answer, YRP forces rose up in revolution against the Roman government alongside many dissenting military units, forcing the Romans to surrender power. The YRP's Republican and Monarchist factions debated for power with the initial negotiations favouring a 'Yetian Republic' until Apothilis' influence tipped the negotiations in favour of the Monarchists who began implementing an absolutist model, though due to the Republicans threatening to revolt a compromise was agreed upon which saw a constitutional monarchy established as the 'Yetian Kingdom' was established.

Francia found this to be an imminent threat to its existence and demanded the YRP surrender as 'any Yetian state must be struck down', though once Yetia refused the demands Francia at least temporarily backed down. The CSIS initially believed the YRP was a front organization of the YNF, but this was disproven, though regardless they offered a 'blank cheque' of support to whatever action Francia would choose to take, prompting Yetia to begin mass militarization. In the year following the revolution, the YRP was dissolved with its republican wing becoming the center-right 'Liberal Revolutionary Party' which won 173 seats while the monarchist wing became the right-wing 'Vieux Yétia Party' which won 86 seats. Many other parties also emerged, with the Social Alliance winning 42 seats, the Yetian Communist Party winning 19 seats, the National Rejuvenation Front winning 11 seats, the Independent Nations Committee winning 5 seats, the Yetian National Front (Yetia) winning 3 seats, and the Confederal Movement winning 2 seats.
