East Yetia demanded that West Yetia submits to it, leading to the unstable 'regime' in West Yetia having some-kind of breakdown as it begged for international aid as its eastern counterpart, leading to Sipedro and Yorica preparing to assist. East Yetia held the initial advantage due to being much more organized, easily smashing through the enemy lines as it occupied the entirety of mainland West Yetia. Angered by the prospect of a communist takeover, Yorica launched an invasion of Newtown to liberate Yetia, eventually managing to convince Sipedro to join them after they finally understood their tactic of causing a opioid epidemic in East Yetia wouldn't work. The entirety of West Yetia was soon liberated, prompting the forces of liberal democracy to march eastwards in an attempt to reunify Yetia. Feeling threatened, the UQSR intervened on the side of the East and threatened to march its army all the way to the west as attacks began across the borders. Seeking to avoid such a major conflict, West Yetia proposed a peace treaty where it would cease its current offensive as a new border would be drawn at the current frontlines, which the UQSR accepted.
Having lost a majority of its territory due to the war, the UQSR proposed unifying East Yetia and the Palladia Quatritonian Socialist Republic, which East Yetia accepted as the 'People's Republic of Ezon' was established. Ezon began preparations to assert itself in the eastern Mediterranean as an attempt to establish itself as the third major European power aside from Yetia in the west and Quatritonia in the east.
