All of the sudden, reports of Zombies rising out of graves in Spisos were reported, quickly overrunning the city of Fruid and moving beyond as they crossed the Bering strait into Lineland, prompting Spisos to try to kill them with its army until its Army was also infected, with infection rates quickly swelling up to 35 thousand as most of Spisos fell into chaos and the Zombies began multiplying in Lineland. Sipedro and Sizzle quickly began building walls around their borders, only for Zombies to begin emerging from Sipedroan and Abardean graves as well, leading to President Heraclio El Fiesta of Sipedro being infected. Celtic managed to be free of infections due to the zombies having poor eyesight, while Hongerswak was quickly overrun by them as Yetia soon also began to notice the emergence of Zombies. Sizzle resorted to throwing corpses outside of its border walls, only for these corpses to reanimate as Zombies soon afterwards, prompting largescale evacuations within the country. Kalevala, Feep, Scotland, Ireland, England, and Wales began also reporting cases, leading to Feep somewhat-successfully communicating with the Zombies about their feelings towards necromancy. Yomtachs soon also began to be infected around the time that the disease had spread everywhere except Argentina, Celtic, and Poland, prompting the NLE to begin capturing all cases in their country until the numbers of dead arising from homes became overwhelming.

Infected soldiers began becoming a significant issue for various countries, prompting the United Nations of Yata to decide to act as one united front to deal with the undead threat while nations such as Tritonia began hosting refugees. North America was largely overrun by the infected alongside much of Asia, Europe, southern Africa, and small parts of Oceania and South America. Kalevala decided to stop its focus on Yetia to fight against the zombies alongside Sipedro, who was forced to find a new leader in the form of Henry El Peso due to Heraclio being infected. Sizzle decreased its military budget to be able to help in working towards a cure alongside Yorica while the old and sick were moved to safe places. The UN launched a major campaign into Sizzle and Lineland, clearing the area of zombies to the best of their ability while Kalevala did the same in northern europe, eventually leading to the liberation of the Beijing and Vanino area. The UN gathered enough resources to set up a permanent base in Antarctica and start liberating Sarpistan, through which they began making their way down towards the zombie strongholds in southern africa.

In order to combat the zombies people began sourcing strange animate plants from Perth, Luxuria capable of fighting them, which the UN made great use of while Kalevala bribed them to not sell to Yetia. The NLE began suggesting nonsensical solutions such as cold water or a true love's kiss to cure the zombies, which coincided with them beginning to advance to the point of using armour and weapons. Sizzle greatly criticized Sipedro's usage of the combat plants, calling their recently elected president Koel El Fiesta-Von Karmen a drug addict. Sizzle and Yorica kept working towards a cure while Sizzle formed itself a proper government able to respond to the crisis, crowning King Edward Robertson. Yorica began capturing zombies to develop a cure, managing to make a ineffective convoluted method of healing some parts of an infected body, only for Sipedoan President Koel El Fiesta-Von Karmen to discover that after hugging the infected ex-president Heraclio El Fiesta out of brotherly love, Heraclio appeared to have been cured yet put into a comatose state, revealing that "true love" was in fact a cure for zombies. King Edward Robertson of Sizzle was assassinated by the still alive ex-King Alex III Robertson during his royal wedding, leading to Alex III usurping back control over the country after having killed the government in an ambush, putting the curing process in jeopardy as Alex III began attempting to court Yetian dictator Big Chungus into reforming the SYE, which he seemed to be open to working towards after Harsens Disease was cured, prompting Alex III to begin overworking the Sizzlean and Yorican scientists involved in the cure process. Some internal dissent in the form of the Sizlt Tribe being restored to fight against his imperialistic ways, although this didn't go that far.

E-God, a person who had recently been helping Kalevala fight against Yetia, revealed themselves to actually be an alien envoy called Doge and that he knew a cure to Harsens Disease which could cure at least a portion of them. He revealed that he was sent by the son of The Galaxy to become the king of Yata due to various nearby civilizations such as the Hunyan Empire wishing to invade Yata due to it supposedly attacking them and declaring themselves to be their ruler. Despite the Yatans having no clue what he was talking about as they had not done this, they agreed to Doge's offer due to him promising that he would not enforce his will onto Yata's nations, establishing the Kingdom of Yata responsible for dealing with planet-wide threats and interplanetary diplomacy. After a few months of intensive efforts, Doge managed to kill or cure all remaining zombies.
