Yetia attempted to install cultural autonomy among its Balkan territories, which went horribly wrong as conflict broke out among the regions ethnic groups as the Serbs & Bosnians proclaimed the Republic of Najova, the Croats proclaimed the Republic of Slavonia, and the Bulgarians proclaimed the Second Republic of Ezon. While Yetia prepared for intervention, Najova decided to assert itself by first conquering Slavonia and then attacking into Ezon. While Najova pushed into Ezon, Yetia's army completed its preparations and launched an invasion of the rebellious regions in the Balkans, soon managing to crush all revolts after a brief struggle.
