The current conservative government in Libatria grew increasingly unpopular, eventually leading to the formation of the dissident 'Free Libatria Movement' dedicated to freeing Libatria itself and the rest of the world from corruption and authoritarianism, prompting a significant government crackdown which backfired as FLM paramilitants began to fight back quite effectively, eventually inspiring them to launch a full-scale revolt. The FLM spread out rapidly, encircling and capturing the Libatrian capital of Monrovia, soon leading to the rest of the country being occupied as the government was imprisoned. After the war, the FLM seized power and abolished the 'United States of the Gold Coast', instead replacing it with the 'Free Libatrian Republic'.
