Elections were held in the 'Roman Fascist Party' as the 'moderate' faction wishing to maintain the status quo and only expand Italy to a limited degree and the 'extremist' faction calling for rapid expansion and militarization for the superior Italian ethnicity competed for power, concluding in a victory for the extremists as purges of moderates began. The southern half of the Italian government tried to encourage Rome to not do anything too bad as they reminded them that 'genocide and conquering everybody was bad', which made Rome suspicious as it questioned why it was being reminded of this but they regardless assured Italy that everything was fine. Something however was troubling Rome, the continued existence of Jeriya. Italy was initially confused by what Rome was talking about until they simply stated that Italy was now invading Jeriya and that there was no way out of it. Jeriya's northern territories were quickly invaded until Jeriya could start fighting back. The war would soon reach a stalemate and would later be continued in the 36th Yetian Civil War.
