HAWK Analysis of the Zerg Genome
HAWK began an analysis study on how the genome of the Zergs functioned, finding it to be a rapidly changing mess based around 64 chromosomes which mutated constantly (with Type A cells mutating themselves, and Type B cells adapting mutations from other species), prompting HAWK to analyse if it had been artificially tampered with in any way, which was quite easily proven to be correct. HAWK then decided to analyse the difference between Primal/Feral and Swarm Zergs, learning that Primal Zerg appeared to be more 'natural' looking and adapted to evolving by consuming other Zergs in order to mature, notably also not being hiveminded like the Swarm Zerg (who seemed to ignore them despite many being within Zerg territory on planets such as Zerus), even bearing some-degree of sentience. Whoever had messed with their genome appeared to have done so in order to turn them into an efficient force capable of overrunning the galaxy, though constant infighting stopped this from ever coming true.
After the end of the Second Zerg Invasion, HAWK send two crafts above Char to investigate if any telepathic/psychic activity had survived the death of The Overmind, which was inconclusive. Upon noticing HAWK's crafts, the local Feral Zerg were distracted from their inter-Brood infighting to attack the HAWK crafts as intruders, with infested humans operating crashed battlecruisers to fire on the intruding ships, prompting HAWK to begin fleeing. Zerg Leviathans began to pursue the crafts, prompting them to release clouds of superheated plasma and combat nanites to cause pain to the Leviathans to distract them, which they managed to survive, though it was enough of a distraction for the Crafts to warp away to another system, from which they preformed a second warp. The Leviathans failed to track them down further than the first warp due to how stealthy and fast HAWK Crafts were, so they resorted back to their usual chaos.
