An emergency meeting of the Confederate Senate has been called.

Tritonia says "Welcome all."

"Thank you for attending on... such short notice."

Banging is heard in storage cupboards nearby as new desks arrive through the doors.

"As you are all probably aware.."

"Our Confederacy was founded on three principles.."

Magyar says "Here we go again..."

"The speech.."

Tritonia says "and our foundation principle is the principle of Benevolence."

"Which entitles all peoples and every nation membership in our Confederacy."

"If they so ask."

Calatai says "Are these formalities necessary?"

"Can you just say that we haven't had any new members for the 7th year running?"

Tritonia says "Excuse me."

"Do you have an objection?"

Calatai says "I.."

"No."

Tritonia says "Thank you."

"As you are all aware.."

"I am not informed until I read the scroll."

"We are One Confederacy."

Everyone in the Senate replies the same.

"Alright then."

Tritonia holds up the scroll

"This scroll contains the list of applicants."

Tatarstan says "Get on with it.."

"Empty again.."

"For the... the ..."

"Oh.. I've lost count."

Tritonia unfurls the scroll.

Tritonia says "Oh... oh my god.."

Hayastan says "Uhh..."

"That wasn't normal.."

Everyone in the senate stares at Tritonia, who is shocked.

The scroll unfurls and drops to the floor.

Tritonia says "I...I...."

"Oh... Oh god.."

He supports himself on the podium.

A few senators stand up.

"S...Senators."

"I am pleased to announce that we have fourteen new applicants."

"A...Along with... two.... two krais... and a federal city."

The Senators audibly gasp.

Work already begins in the hall to add 280 extra chairs.

Delegates from the new applicants enter the Senate in groups of twenty.

Tritonia says "P..please welcome to the Confederate Senate..."

"The Republic of Karelia.."

"The Republic of L..Ladoga Karelia.."

"The Suomi Republic.."

"South Luvakhia.."

"West Belyya.."

"North Luvakhia-Belyya..."

"Luvama.. and it's dependent krai Kheruvimi.."

"Murmansk.."

"Srbija.."

"Bulgar-Thracia.."

"Kars-Hayas.."

"Azerbaijan.."

"A..and... and..."

"Vedaburg."

Loud applause breaks out as the 280 new senators enter.

Magyar says "Wait.."

"Vedaburg?"

Rumynskiya says "I can't hear you over this clapping.."

"Oh my god... seriously though.."

"Vedaburg?"

"I thought they were culturally cleansed.."

The applause dies down as the Senators get to know each other.

The Vedan delegation sits in front of the Magyar and Rumynski delegations.

Vedaburg says "Hello, dear neighbours."

Magyar says "H..How?"

"I thought the Vedan culture went extinct.."

Vedaburg says "Those of us who remained in Palladia.."

"Managed to keep our culture going."

"There are hundreds of thousands of us."

"Undeniably, life in Palladia is tough.. but it is improving.."

Magyar says "True.."

"So you..."

"Managed to apply for extraterritorial membership?"

Vedaburg says "Yes.."

"Extraterritorial membership.."

"Then we officiated our claims on ancient Vedan land."

Rumynskiya says "Yetia isn't going to like this."

Vedaburg says "We know."

"Thats why we came to the Confederacy."

An hour later, Tritonia dismisses the Senate.

Tritonia says "Well.."

"We are obliged by our Principles."

"It is my duty..."

He sighs.

The new applicants are officially announced.

By now, the Confederacy has more applicants than actual members.

After the announcement, Yetia contacted the Tritonian Confederacy and demanded to know why the Confederacy was claiming and representing Yetian territory, including Vedaburg which they saw as a crime against their nation and people due to the actions Vedaburg took during the Second Yetian Reunification Wars, threatening to invade and destroy the Confederacy if they did not expel the new Yetian delegations, calling this an attempt to justify annexing Yetian territory. Tritonia refuted the accusations and claimed that it had a open-doors policy where if a people wanted to send in a delegation, they could as their own decision not something the Confederacy was doing. Yetia then suddenly occupied the recently unclaimed portions of Wallachia and annexed it as the 'Wallachia Province', and 'Odessa Province' as a direct provocation against the Confederacy, who tried to avoid further confrontation as applicant regions were indeed exempt from the Confederacy's collective defence policy, yet the Confederate Republic of Tritonia didn't care and sent its own armies towards Yetia's borders which were stopped by the border republics for now at least, prompting Yetia to remark in a mocking tone that the new regions joined 'of their own volition' and demanded that they keep Tritonia at bay or they would regret it. The Confederacy took action via the Confederate Senate and shut down Tritonia's military buildup despite its protests, though 'Srbija' and 'Bulgar-Thracia' also started delegations in the Senate much to Yetia's annoyance, leading to a brief spat between Yetia and Tritonia. Yetia accused the Confederacy of manipulation, citing the presence of Luvakhian delegates as clearly unnatural as the Confederacy's formation had ripped their entire country to shreds, which the Confederacy denied as it was simply their obligation to accept any delegations sent their way. Yetia decided to keep up with its provocations, proclaiming its recognition of Sakartvelian, Hayastani, and North Azerian independence as it asserted that they were illegally annexed, prompting confusion from Sakartvelo that the Confederacy silenced. Yetia accused the Confederacy of lying about its principles as Tritonia, its largest constituent, had previously in the conversation quite vocally opposed their actions which conflicted with the whole 'common voice speaking on behalf of the others' situation. Yetia's continuoous provocations caused the Confederacy to snap and accuse Yetia of causing this entire situation in the first place, calling them the problem instead of the Confederacy. Tritonia spoke up once more and called for Yetia to be held accountable for its marginalisation in the Vedan Cultural Death policy (which Yetia insisted on continuing as 'no one was dying'), which the Confederacy tried to shut down once more yet failed as the Senate voted to repeal the 'Third Principle' which gave total power to the Senate. The Coonfederacy, now under the Senate's direction, gave 3 options to Yetia regarding the Vedaburg Crisis; the first being that they could prorogue the Vedan delegation until the unrest in Vedaburg became too bad for Yetia to handle, the second being the immediate end of the Cultural Death policy to solve both nations' problems, or three the two nations keep glaring at each other, though the Vedan delegation suddenly interjected and proclaimed that the fourth option was for their immediate secession from Yetia once they arrived in the senate. Yetia demanded that the Confederacy back down at once as Vedan protests prompted the Yetian Left Democrats Party to issue a motion to end the Cultural Death, only for both the demands and the parliamentary discussions to be cut short by a terrorist attack in the parliament by supporters of the Greater Vedaburg Party which caused the building to be completely destroyed in the ensuing explosion. The Confederacy freaked out as this would likely mean more escalation despite it not being Vedaburg's fault, prompting Tritonia to vow to protect Vedaburg in case of incoming attacks, which were soon proven to be possible as Yetia issued an ultimatum demanding an immediate extradition of the Vedan delegation or else it would enforce their extradition via military force. The Senate convened regarding the crisis, and narrowly voted against extradition as the attacks were in their eyes launched by unaffiliated extremists, prompting Yetia to urge them to reconsider which caused the Confederacy to reiterate its points that the delegation was unaffiliated with the attacker who was clearly trying to instigate a conflict, prompting Yetia to issue one final warning which the Confederacy refused to heed, thus Yetian aircrafts crossed into Confederate airspace and bombed the Senate building to the ground, though this didn't cause any casualties due to evacuations. Declarations of independence from the delegations rang out which forced Yetia to suppress uprisings while Palladia finally rejoined the Confederacy as both sides mobilized on their border while Yetia made the first strike by declaring war on the Tritonian Confederacy.

As soldiers from each constituent of the Confederacy mobilized rapidly to respond to the enemy, Yetia's tank armies crossed into Tritonia as quick as they could to try to cause damage. Tritonia sent in soldiers from the far-east of the country as Lineland was pre-occupied with ongoing disputes with Sizzle, allowing the border forces and Vedan insurgents to be joined by large armoured forces. Tritonia saw success in the west while the east continued to be more in Yetia's favour, so they decided to swing around and try to encircle Yetia's forces in Moldavia/Bessarabia in order to reclaim all of 'greater Palladia' with mixed success while more Yetian delegates gradually began arriving in the senate. The Confederate reinforcements finally arrived while the Caucasian separatists Yetia was backing were largely shut down, allowing the Confederacy to push back into Rumynskie while futurists in Odessa revolted against Yetian rule before later integrating into the Confederacy as it launched an offensive north of the Danube into Bohemia, which seceded from Yetia as enemy forces marched in and recon groups blew up supply routes. With Bohemia secured, the Confederacy crossed the danube under heavy air-support, allowing them to capture and integrate Vedaburg as the 'Vedaburg Sovereign State' while the local Vedan ultranationalists effectively aligned themselves with the Confederacy as a co-belligerent despite their opposition to the VSS, the lack of Tritonian support headed their way, and VSS occupation of some of their holdings. The next region to break away was Moesia, which overthrow the Yetian 'Ezon Province' and aligned itself with the Confederacy in return for maintaining its independence, other regions such as Najova also tried to break away but were crushed. Despite its successes, the Confederacy was still forced to set up a defensive line to hold back Yetia at some points, leading to significant aerial battles which Yetia tried to counter with anti-air and a failed attempt to recruit more allies. Yetia failed to advance further in the front lines as it dealt with uprising after uprising. Yetia's government enacted emergency powers as it refused to give up as bombers of both sides increased their efforts, with the Confederacy vowing that if it needed to march on Yetia City to protect these people then it would do what it must. The Confederacy and Moesia readied their forces after extensive mobilization efforts which allowed them to launch a major counteroffensive as bases and airports were bombed into inoperability and ships rigged with explosives were sailed into ports (without exploding). Yetia kept trying to refuse to give up as the enemy simply kept advancing and advancing, leading to Najova's secession as well, with this uprising being the Confederacy's main focus while other regions dug in. Yetia began blockading international waters such as the Gibraltar Strait and the Suez Canal while the Confederacy insisted on a continued offensive into Najova despite recommendations to advance into the more lightly defended Niederland.

The Confederacy recognized that Yetia wasn't intent on giving up, but regardless offered them peace if they recognized the separatists' independence and right to join the Confederacy if they wished at the threat of blowing up all of Yetia's ports, which Yetia predictably refused once more as it compared the threat to the actions Vedaburg took which led to the Adriatic Intervention War, prompting the Confederacy to call this an exaggeration despite recognizing that regardless of who won Yetia would come in for revenge. The Confederacy called itself a hollow shell existing solely for compromise as perfect co-existence was impossible, prompting Yetia to remark about how it had been conquered by Tritonia many times it had never conquered Tritonia, so the Confederacy remarked that unlike Yetia it had learned from its mistakes as it launched a full-scale offensive. Bohemia led the charge into Niederland, which Yetia was forced to rush to re-contain by defending the north as the Confederacy put its focus on the south of the front. The next secession occurred as Roma broke free, only weakening Yetia further as it kept repeating that it would win. Yetia's failures caused riots which rocked its remaining territories, prompting a section of the army under Martîn Bodin to seize the opportunity and launch a military coup to reorganize the front and bring Yetia back into the war, proclaiming that Tritonia would be ripped apart and partitioned by their hand. The Confederacy and its allies disregarded Yetia's threats (as they essentially were still partitioned rump-states unified under a common goal) as they crossed the rhine as the explosive ships blew up Yetia's ports while riots kept occurring. Just as the Confederates began pushing into Yetia City, Yetia's ongoing riots erupted into a civil war as several distinct armed factions rose up and drove the country into anarchy, causing Yetia's remnants to rage at its enemies until all central authority collapsed.

The Confederacy opted against moving into Yetia to set up a provisional government, instead withdrawing and holding referendums in all of its new allies regarding if they wished to join the Confederacy, though Bohemia, Rome, Najova, and Moesia's referendums failed as only Vedaburg fully entered the Confederacy, while the others temporarily remained under Confederate protection as they rebuilt. Yetia on the other hand erupted into chaos as yet another civil war began between 13 ideologically distinct factions, though without any foreign intervention Yetia ended up eventually being unified under the ultranationalistic 'Preussen Legion' which reorganized the country into the 'National Yetian State'. Rome remarked that this takeover appeared to be quite preventable, but the Confederacy re-iterated that it did not wish to take over Yetia, nor did it believe that its pre-war "democracy" was worthy of persisting with its cultural cleansing policies, though luckily it vowed to continue protecting the new nations which emerged from eastern Yetia.
