Prelude
A Polskan ocean liner was caught and damaged in a storm, causing it to drift into Floppastani territorial waters which it tried to escape from with whatever engines were still operable, though unfortunately the ship was too slow as it was struck by a Floppastani missile and sunk shortly afterwards due to committing a 'border violation'. The CSIS complained that this was clearly because of the storm and killing 3000 civillians over it wasn't ok despite Floppastan's insistence on maintaining its 'territorial integrity' via isolation. Facing public outrage, Polsk mobilized and sent rescue ships to retrieve the few survivors only for said ships to be sunk, prompting them to instead send a massive naval detachment of 5 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 18 carriers, 25 destroyers and a hospital ship into Floppastani waters to retrieve survivors with any Floppastani interception attempts being sunk by submarines if they entered within 10 miles of the Polskan fleet. Floppastan demanded that Polsk cease its territorial violations as it didn't care about the tragedy, which Polsk ignored as it gathered survivors and sent them on the escorted hospital ship back to Polsk while the main military fleet remained. Floppastan gave one final warning to withdraw, prompting CSIS to start a 3-phase bombing campaign targeting Floppastani naval bases, fuel storage facilities, ammo storages, ships, military bases, and airfields. Floppastan interpreted this as an act of war and began began shooting down planes and bombing Polskan ships, prompting Polsk to shoot down attacking planes as it declared 'victory' in its operation to cripple Floppastan's airforce, navy, and military in retribution against the sunk boat. Floppastan claimed the boat was not leaving its waters despite the boat having activated its SOS and attempted to leave despite most nations being expected to repair or help a damaged boat entering their land, which Polsk claimed was justification to 'take away Floppastan's navy and defend its territorial waters themselves'. Floppastan kept insisting that violations of its isolationism would be met by force, still launching aerial attacks against Polsk's ships which while not very effective were still enough to force the CSIS to bring in reinforcements. Polsk ignored Floppastan's demands to leave and instead demanded that Floppastan pay reparations for each casualty caused in the sinking of the ship, prompting Floppastan to claim it couldn't do this due to being poor due to Polsk's own actions against them in recent conflicts and that instead Polsk should be paying reparations for each dead Floppastani, which Polsk disregarded as it didn't really care about deaths caused by protecting its allies. Polsk launched one final bombardment before leaving, though unfortunately this was a step too far for Floppastan as it demanded immediate compensation for the damages caused in sovereign Floppastani territory during the bombings and a (compromise) joint recognition where both nations would admit they had caused thousands of civilian deaths in return for not pressing charges over the hundreds of thousands of dead Floppastanis over all conflicts in the region Polsk had involved itself in, which Polsk decided to pay to maintain peace. Polsk claimed that if this would happen again Floppastan would be wiped off the map, which Floppastan disregarded.
Floppastan worked tirelessly after the boat incident, setting up new much stricter ocean patrols alongside instating the 'Islamic Revolutionary Patriotism Law' which instated state-propaganda that demonised Polsk as an evil destructive force while purging every government official opposed to the propaganda to prevent dissent. Polsk responded to this by dropping leaflets of a Polsk citizen stamping Emir Muhammad Sumbul's skull in, prompting Floppastan to drop leaflets over Polsk in response as it previously had not done so, with both sides' propaganda dropping programs ending in failure as in Polsk they were used as toilet paper and in Floppastan they were burned in Floppascus City Centre in a 'Death to Polsk' chant, prompting the CSIS to do a show-of-force flight above Floppastan. Various political developments continued in Floppastan as Polskan Citizens began fleeing the country or arming themselves for self-defence which prompted the government to instate a 'Anti-Firearms Law' which saw the government confiscate all private firearms (despite Polsk's attempts to still arm them) that were currently in circulation while also making the process to getting new guns much stricter, with all politicians opposing this law being purged. Despite everything, Floppastan instated the 'Insurance of Safety Act' which banned discrimination of individuals over diplomatic incidents, but this wasn't really enforced.
A series of incidents began happening in Floppastan as 17 Polskan citizens were beaten to death by an angry mob at Flopairo International Airport while they were trying to leave the country, with the Floppastan Police Department avoiding stopping the violence despite the Insurance of Safety Act. Polsk demanded more security and enforcement of the ISA (which they were grateful for) while they halted most flights going to-and-from Floppastan side from those carrying repatriating citizens of theirs which they were encouraging to evacuate Floppastan due to the tensions. Another airport attack (though this time without any deaths, only injuries) happened in Floleppo, prompting the Floppastan government to shut all airports for a week in order to avoid further incidents as their security was evaluated, which Polsk denounced as its citizens were clearly in danger and needed to flee, thus it began operating private flights to northern Oriento. Polskan citizens (mainly veterans) in Floppastan meanwhile formed a group of militias collectively known as the 'Polskan Republican Army' which raided police stations, freed prisoners, and held demonstrations demanding the right to leave and not be harrassed, though most of these militias were quite easily crushed due to the Anti-Firearms Law leaving them very underequipped despite Polsk smuggling weapons. A 'Second Islamic Revolutionary Patriotism Law' was passed to instill patriotism alongside a new 'Military Reconfiguration Law' which dissolved the current Floppaeda militias and replaced them with a new disciplined and hierarchical military incorporating many elements from the former Floppastani government's military in order to create a new 'National Defence Construct'. The PRA attempted to launch terrorist attacks in Floppairo, which the radicalised populace called a 'TDP attack' and kept doing their 'death to Polsk' chants, causing the few opposition forces to either stop their own demonstrations or blend in to avoid being attacked by the mobs of radicalised patriots. Polsk kept trying to arm the few disorganized anti-government individuals in Floppastan with weapons, though most of these were intercepted by the government who demanded an explanation from Polsk as it had traced them to attempts to violate their gun laws, prompting Polsk to explain that it wasn't doing this as it was private individuals in Polsk that it would investigate alongside Floppastan, which Floppastan refused so Polsk tried to 'investigate' itself which lead to several Polskan Central Intelligence Service operatives being captured and tortured (with many committing suicide to avoid the torture) which only made Polsk send more even better trained and undetectable spies. Clashes began in Floppastan between the PRA and the new 'Floppastan National Resistance' patriotic movement which was sponsored by the government. With the Feline Federation being one of its only remaining allies in the region, Polsk contacted them regarding the Floppastan situation and proposed a joint invasion to 'federalize' Floppastan, which the Federation accepted as it was already militarised enough to wage such a war, with the two agreeing on a plan to make a fake naval invasion as a diversion while hundreds of thousands attacked thru the Outback. Floppastan of course noticed the landing crafts approaching its shores, leading to the start of the war.
Course of War
The soldiers assigned to the decoy invasion made landfall which caused major battles significant enough to distract Floppastan while a massive CSIS, Polsk, and PRA force pushed through Floppastan's mountainous southeast, which also proved to be enough of a distraction for Polsk to launch a proper naval invasion despite not being able to connect its two fronts due to the mountains. Polsk unrecognized Floppastan as a country and instead recognized the United Floppa Republic as the legitimate government, despite the UFR not having existed for 40 years. Polsk tried to avoid civilian casualties, but regardless fired upon everyone who was armed. Polsk attempted to incite rebellions via sabotage, freeing prisoners and propaganda, though due to the roaming mobs of FNR supporters most resistance groups were very difficult to organize. The first few anti-Floppaeda uprisings and demonstrations began happening as the 'Bingdustan United Front' revolted and a suppressed federalist demonstration occurred in Flophdad. As Polsk kept advancing, troubling news emerged from the south as clashes had begun on the Bingustan and West Baitang ceasefire lines, escalating as both sides put armies on the borders and the Feline Federation officially declared Bingustan as its sovereign territory, prompting Oriento to do the same as clashes between the two escalated until both sides' armies began full-scale attacks on another and supporters of each side rioted, leading to the Feline Federation launching an invasion of Oriento-controlled Bingustan. The Feline Federation swiftly occupied much of the region before officially declaring war on Oriento, advancing much more rapidly than anyone expected which prompted Floppastan to declare war on Oriento as well to establish a buffer zone which Polsk promptly attacked from occupied Oriento.
After annexing some eastern Orientese territory, the Feline Federation began work towards the formation of an 'Interim Government of Baitang' which would be established when the area around Chinussy would be cleared of the insurgent Baitang Liberation Army, Baitang National Republican Front, and Baitang Provisional Directorate (who were attacking all TDP members). With Polsk continuing to attack with even more forces, Floppastan began retreating from the southwest into more defensible positions known as the 'Floppascus Line'. Polsk bombarded the line relentlessly, though all it managed was breaking through the 'outer defences'. The Feline Federation established the Interim Government of the Republic of Baitang once Chinussy was cleared. The three insurgent groups didn't recognize the interim government, prompting the PLA to proclaim the 'People's Republic of Baitang', the NRF to proclaim the 'National Republic of Baitang', and the PD to proclaim the 'State of Baitang', each declaring themselves to be the 'true government of Baitang' despite being on the same side against the Federation aside from a couple small clashes.
Polskan forces began massing on the east of the Floppascus Line, which Floppastan largely ignored as it believed the area was too naturally defended to be overtaken, only for Polsk to attack in the much more defended but geographically easier west to mixed success. The defences slowly weakened until they finally broke in the centre, prompting Polsk to rush through in an attempt to encircle the remaining defences in a massive offensive significant enough for Floppastan's grip on power to weaken as the 'Third Floppa Clan' rose up in rebellion, which the PRA promptly merged into. Despite this massive success, the Feline Federation was forced to full soldiers away from Floppastan as rumours of the Bingland Worker's Republic and Bingterra lining up on the Sixth Swagonian War armistice borders alongside various encrypted communications being detected between the two governments suggested they were going to invade. Polsk suggested supporting the NRF instead, which the Feline Federation disagreed with as the IGB was specifically designed to democratize unlike the clearly too nationalist NRF. The three Baitangese insurgent groups agreed to form the 'Baitang United Front' to fight for their common interests of destroying the Interim Government, with this United Front aligning itself with Bingterra's and Bingland's "National Resistance Coalition" as the two launched attacks into the Feline Federation at last, prompting Polsk to send significant reinforcements as the Federation was forced to retreat in some areas to avoid encirclement while still advancing northwards alongside the Floppa Clan. Polsk launched a massive offensive into Bingterra while the BUF advanced into southern Floppastan, where it created the 'Provisional Directorate of Floppastan' to rival the TDP presence, prompting Polsk to launch a largescale counterattack southwards.
The Feline Federation set up defensive positions on the Baitang front as it sent a majority of its army to the Bingterra/Bingland front where they formed a new slightly further back frontline for better positions. The PDF had largely failed to hold back the Polskan attacks against them despite the front against Floppastan having stalled as the Floppaeda government retreated into the mountains. To the south, the Feline Federation launched the 'Bingterra Offensive' which saw them send a surprisingly ineffective attack into the 'western' part of Bingterra before suddenly launching a massive offensive in the east. To the north, Polsk and the Floppa Clan began officially cooperating in their attacks against Floppastan which saw the 3 largest coastal cities (including Floppascus) get encircled. Most of Bingterra and Bingland was occupied by the Federation, prompting the two to sue for a new armistice which the Federation rejected. The FNR had evolved into a militant group resisting the Polskan occupation, launching various attacks and massacres against their enemy which made Polsk do the same in response.
Major naval battles began happening around this time as the last remnants of Floppastan's navy were hunted down by Polsk. with a notable engagement happening between Battleship Kharkiv and a surviving Floppastan cruiser. Polsk struck against the PDF after occupying West Floppastan, though terrain issues made heavy and even medium tanks ineffective thus Polsk was forced to use light tanks and APCs. Floppascus finally fell to the Floppa Clan, though unfortunately the Floppastani government managed to flee to their remaining holdings in the mountains. The last remnants of Floppastan's navy were sunk at this point as they lacked any way to supply themselves, with only a couple minor engagements happening afterwards. Polskan and Floppa Clan forces began freeing prisoners from the final few major prison complexes operated by Floppastan, which Polsk alleged contained 'piles of fresh bodies' which Floppastan denied. Floppastan's forces were largely destroyed in its own territory, with their surviving forces relocating to the Outback near Floppastan's borders to prepare a eventual reconquest once they were prepared, which Polsk and the Feline Federation used as a distraction to mount a massive offensive into Baitang, whom signed a peace with the remnants of Oriento (who renounced all claims to territories not controlled by themselves except Orieneido) in order to focus on the main front. Once the BUF was destroyed and forced back into a minor insurgency, Oriento and the Feline Federation agreed to recognize Oriento's borders it set with the BUF prior to its fall. Floppaeda kept fighting despite its defeat, with clashes in the Outback becoming common, though despite this the Floppa Clan assumed sovereignty over former Floppastan.
Despite the Floppa Clan being the recognized government by the Feline Federation, supporters of the Federation rose up as the 'Floppa Federal Front' opposed to the Floppa Clan's insistence on sovereignty and neutrality, which proved to be enough of a crisis for the left-wing of the Floppa Socialist Ba'ath Party to revolt in the north. The TDP largely remained uninvolved at first despite supporting the Federal Front, as it was busy with the integration of Bingterra and Bingland. Eventually, the Feline Federation decided to involve itself by demanding that the Floppa Clan return all territories to the Federal Front which it had captured so that they could hold a referendum regarding if their region wanted to join the Feline Federation, which the Floppa Clan refused, prompting the Federation to launch a swift invasion which forced them to accept the previous ultimatum. While the Floppa Clan itself may of accepted the armistice, factions within the Floppa Clan remained defiant as the 'Floppa Clan - Opposition' revolted against the Federal Front, while the main FC remained neutral despite turning a blind-eye to FCO operations in its territory. Eventually, the FCO's continuous attacks drew the attention of the TDP who launched a massive intervention against them with bombers crossing into Floppastan once more. The TDP launched attacks against Floppaeda remnants who had crossed the borders. With the TDP attacking from the south and the FSBP attacking from the north, the Floppa Clan collapsed into factionalism as the Opposition broke into the Aerial Brigade and Militant Guard while the Gargantious Gang and Restorationists broke off of the 'Loyalists'. The Restorationists aligned themselves with the FSBP as long as the elderly Justin Karakal became their leader, which the FSBP accepted as the two launched a massive offensive southwards that forced the Floppa Clan factions to unify into a 'Floppa Clan Coalition' to resist the invasion. Some FC forces were trapped in the mountains, while the rest fled into the Federal Front where they were promptly attacked and blocked from escaping while the FSBP-FCR was busy invading Bingdustan, though luckily for the FC Polsk eventually let them flee to West Floppastan.
With the FC crippled, the FSBP-FCR declared the 'Second United Floppa Republic' and demanded that the Federal Front's territories be handed over over to them, which was refused, so they declared war and invaded southwards. The TDP mobilized its forces to fight back against the UFR's invasion while the UFR on the other hand proclaimed the birth of the 'Orientalis Resistance Initiative' which promptly began supporting resistance movements in Baitang to slow down the TDP's counterattacks, culminating in a uprising by the 'Baitang Revolutionary Government'. Polsk and the Federation rushed to crush the revolts as the BRG threatened to encircle much of their army. The UFR officially unrecognized the armistice border and recognized the Federalists as their territory, which angered Polsk to the point of declaring war despite already fighting the UFR. Polsk attempted to launch diversionary attacks to advance north while the BRG and UFR managed to encircle a number of TDP forces in southeast Floppastan, which Polsk rushed to break free with paratroopers and battlecruisers while the Feline Federation mobilized its reserves and the Interim Government of Baitang began forming an army for itself. Polsk focused on attacking north from the encircled area while the Feline Federation managed to stop the ORI advance in Baitang which allowed them to push north. With Polsk's advances clearly seeing success, the UFR launched a 'contingency' by instigating a uprising in Oriento by the "Chiiki Kaihō Military Clique" advocating for a resumption of the war. Polsk moved to sabotage his uprising and accidentally 'threatened genocide' if Oriento was to accept their demands, leading to some tensions though regardless Oriento resisted the CKMC. With the war having devolved into a war of attrition, Polsk convinced the rest of the TDP to send support, with Arstotzka sending 150 thousand soldiers and Isernotaria sending 20 thousand.
After another stalemate, Polsk launched a new offensive to try to separate the BRG and UFR while fighting between Oriento and the CKMC began properly as the CKMC declared itself to be the rightful ruler of the 'Orientarizumu Military Government', which promptly signed a border treaty with the BRG which allowed the insurgencies in southwest Baitang to begin siding with the BRG. CSIS forces began moving to the border with Oriento while Polsk and the TDP remained on the Floppastan front where they began preparing a new offensive alongside the Federation. CSIS forces begin attacking CKMC and BRG forces in southwest Baitang while Polsk intervened in ongoing naval battles between the UFR and Floppa Clan to help contain the UFR. In yet another offensive, Polsk deployed countless assets to cut off the UFR and BRG from one another, though this didn't conclude in a success as eventually the offensive was contained, prompting the Feline Federation to promise it was planning something. With Polsk contained, the UFR attacked south against the Feline Federation's lines, only for them to begin retreating to lure the UFR into a urban battle where the weakest Feline Federation forces were positioned to make them believe this was an easy victory, only for the real Federation army to strike from the west and cut off the UFR, leading to a catastrophe for the UFR as they were pushed all the way back to Floppascus. The UFR's navy was sunk by the Floppa Clan and Polsk despite some skirmishes between the FC and Polsk. Oriento and the TDP signed an official alliance to fight the CKMC in return for Oriento gaining the city of Orieneido from the Feline Federation.
Polsk and the Feline Federation gathered their strongest soldiers and prepared for a new offensive against the UFR meanwhile Oriento began seeing success against Orientarizumu and the Floppa Clan declared 'total naval superiority'. With the IG of Baitang beginning to mobilize an actual army, the UFR became increasingly concerned to the point of trying to recruit more allies without any success. The Floppa Clan's forces in West Floppastan made landfall as they invaded the mainland while Polsk was attacking BRG units in the southwest. The Feline Federation organized a series of Federal Front revolts across the north, allowing them to break through in a massive offensive as Federalist-occupied territories joined the Federal Republic of Floppastan.
Another argument broke out between Polsk and the Floppaeda over a Floppaeda incursion into the UFR, with Polsk telling them to 'go make their own country' which Floppastan found stupid as this in fact was their country. With the TDP and FC advancing and bombing the UFR to the ground with new fighter jets, they demanded the UFR surrender once more in return for conditional peace where they would remain independent, which the UFR refused as it claimed to be capable of liberating its lost land. With the Floppa Clan largely dealing with the northern urban centres, Polsk finally began to root out UFR resistance in Floppascus, with the last stand occurring within the National Congress Building where UFR soldiers fired out of the windows until they were breached and killed. With Bingdustan launching another revolt (before integrating into the Floppa Clan), the UFR was confined to a few limited pockets in the north from which they tried to fund/bribe a revolt in Saint Bingersburg, eventually concluding in a success as the 'Bingustan Garrison' launched a revolt which occupied all of Bingustan before attacking Chinussy, which was easily repelled as the Federation began mopping up the revolt. Polsk offered another surrender agreement to the now leaderless UFR remnants in which they would be given amnesty, which they refused again so Polsk massed its forces for one final offensive and bombing campaign after making sure that they couldn't escape again, soon leading to the UFR's capitulation with only the forces in Flopsandria evading capture. Polsk handed over all its occupied territory to the Federalists, angering the Floppa Clan as it was confined to the north which caused various anti-Federalist terror attacks, though eventually the FC relented and accepted this in return for its southern forces being able to evacuate Federalist territory. Without UFR funds, the Bingustan Revolt collapsed and Orientarizumu was weakened, prompting Orientarizumu to launch one final desperate offensive which largely concluded in failure despite the TDP being distracted with stamping out the BRR. Having been surrounded and depleted of soldiers, the Orientarizumu Military Government was the final member of the ORI to capitulate as its leadership was apprehended. The war came to a close as the Floppa Clan officially recognized the new borders despite claiming the south as still rightfully theirs and various resistance groups still operating, with the final act of the war being the Federal Republic of Floppastan officially joining the Feline Federation.
