Despite submitting to Polsk's demands in the Sozzle Negotiations, Turkestan found itself under attack by Polsk. Chaos broke out in Sozzle as Turkestan didn't have time to fully withdraw yet, prompting Polsk to use its numerical superiority and spacecrafts to attack and bombard Turkestan relentlessly. Lineland tried to convince Polsk to stop as Turkestan was their ally, which failed. Polsk later assassinated the Turkestani government and blew up their government buildings. After some fighting, Polsk later contacted Turkestan and paid them money in return for Turkestan giving independence to Sozzle, which Turkestan accepted under the conditions that conflict between the two states would end. Polsk also requested to extract an artefact from underneath Turkestan, which Turkestan was willing to sign a separate mining treaty about.
