Disapproving of the occupation of their nation, resistance began to grow among the Yetian populace as councils promoting their independence emerged, which were begrudgingly tolerated due to their participation in reconstruction efforts. Groups of remaining soldiers of the Sizzlean-Yetian Empire were soon uncovered in the Yetian Alps, arming themselves and the anti-occupation councils to resist foreign rule.
Insurgency War
In January 80 the Anti Sizzle-Yetia Coalition took action against these SYE Remnants, with the Alpine region erupting into conflict as Coalition forces attacked the remnants, which were quickly put at a disadvantage due to being outnumbered and lacking international support. While most remained to fight in the seemingly desperate situation, many within the Remnants fled and moved to Sizzle to assist in the Sizzlean Reunification War, leading to the remaining forces reorganizing themselves into a stratocracy.
General Uprising
After a period of biding their time, the Yetian resistance movements took their opportunity to rise as the Sizzle-Yetia Remnant and a new group calling itself the Yetian Free Council launched a massive uprising against the occupation forces in late summer 80 CE, hoping to restore their independence as they rose up throughout much of the country.
