All of the sudden, the New Luxurian Empire instituted a series of legal reforms which saw a internet firewall established alongside banning all non-domestic travel to-and-from the country, inciting significant panic among Luxurians and concern among foreigners. Lustland was the first country to point out how worrying the situation was, which Yetia agreed with. Many Luxurians began to 'disappear' around this time after complaining about both the travel bans and even unrelated infractions such as making fun of a restaurant's name.

While this was happening, the NLE decoded a encrypted communication it detected in New Luxurian Spisos, eventually figuring out that it was from the New Sizzlean Empire. After some convincing, they managed to get the NSE to tell them it was regarding a plan to invade Yetia with support from local Yetian Sizzlean communities.
