After years of travels after its dissolution in 78 CE, the (Second) Republic of Luvakhia was finally restored in the city of Medhezaliv in northeastern Europe. This new home proved to quickly become quite problematic as Luvakhia's new neighbour of Kalevala swiftly took advantage of the young state, demanding control over portions of western Luvakhia up to the Northern Dvina River, which Luvakhia refused. Deciding to force the issue, Kalevian military forces launched a sudden invasion of Luvakhian territory, occupying all of their claimed territories in a swift offensive. Hoping to protect its fellow Rus, Yamalia began sending support to Luvakhia which allowed them to halt the Kalevian advance. Luvakhia mustered its forces and launched a counter offensive across the river, crushing the Kalevian lines and marching westwards until the frontlines were quite close to how the border prior to the war was, prompting Kalevala to accept Luvakhia's offer of white peace.
