With Yata now back to normal, Sarpistan quickly decided to take things back to normal by declaring war on Yetia in order to seize Anatolia. Apothelis and Tritonia began arming Yetia without fully intervening. Yetia was thankful but tried to convince its allies to escalate their support, which they were hesitant to due to the risk of nuclear weapons being used, though Yetia managed to eventually convince Apothelis to intervene after assuring them that Sarpistan may decide to follow a mutually assured destruction doctrine. While Apothelis saw success, Yetia was met by many defeats as Sarpistan had occupied all of Anatolia and was not pushing into Thrace.
Yetia's many defeats lead to their government slowly beginning to destabilize as people grew angry over their ineptitude, forcing them to pull soldiers back to deal with any unexpected revolts. Yetia was forced to begin reforming its army structure and establish a more cohesive chain of command lead by a field marshal, but the sole general capable of handling the task was the notably 'rebellious' Nouvel Alarie. After the situation kept getting worse, Yetia relented and decided to ignore its fears of Nouvel being a possible threat and granted him the position as Khat, Hayah, and Jeriya came to Sarpistan's defence. Tritonia, Almadina, and Aparty decided to intervene as the war expanded.
Yetia focused on holding back the enemy while Hayah and Sarpistan clashed with Aparty and Apothelis. Angered by the government's ineffective leadership, Nouvel Alarie came to the conclusion that the current Yetian government was unfit to rule and marched on Newtown, leading to Yetia briefly falling into chaos as the administrative buildings were besieged and the government was captured. Nouvel Alarie was promptly declared 'President for Life' as a new 'effective leadership' was proclaimed as the Yetian army began marching to the front, quickly managing to push back the Sarpistanis. The Anti-Sarpistan states began fighting back relentlessly as massive bombing campaigns began from both sides. Yetia's newly competant army managed to easily push out the enemy from its territory and begin advancing into Sarpistan while Jeriya had already fallen.
Facing defeats on all sides, Khat requested an armistice, soon to be followed by Sarpistan surrendering leading to Yetia annexing Cyprus and establishing the Second Republic of Hayas. Hayah briefly continued to resist until it was pressured into agreeing to a white peace. Jeriya's 'overlord' switched from Khat to Yetia, while Yetian forces continued to occupy parts of Sarpistan and Hayah.
