With the Eighth England War concluding in yet another victory for the Sizzlean-Yetian Empire, the nation of Éire made one last desparate plea to the Anti Sizzle-Yetia Coalition to make a stand before the SYE could grow too strong, a plea which Sipedro and its allies accepted, with Sipedro, Utsong in Exile, Islandia, Poavak, Yorica, Taiwan in Exile, SR Lineland, and Choros all declaring war on the Sizzlean-Yetian Empire. The SYE was caught off guard, yet ready to fight back as they mobilized support in the recently acquired Abardean territories by granting them significant autonomy and tightened their grip over the rebellious British Isles, successfully signing a non-aggression pact with the neutral state of Luxuria.
Imperial Victories
Aiming to first deal with its smaller enemies, the SYE started its campaign by launching an invasion of Linelandic Bergen and attempting to secure its inter-Eurasian trade routes thru unclaimed land, which was unsuccessful as Kalevala refused access and blocked all SYE trade thru its territory. Choros was the first of the Coalition to make a move, launching an invasion into south-east Yetia that was swiftly countered by a devastating SYE counteroffensive that broke into Chorosian territory, with the populace in the occupied regions rounded up and imprisoned as cities burned. Sipedro quickly moved to support Choros, though Choros instead told them to focus on taking out the SYE instead of defending them. Sipedro made its move by launching an invasion into Beijing that coincided with a Linelandic offensive into Sizzle Russia, which the SYE attempted to defend against, which was only successfully done in the Beijing front. Hoping to draw attention away from its mainland, the SYE began a series of invasions into Islandia to attempt to sever Sipedro's supply routes thru the pacific, forcing Islandia to relocate to the Galapagos. As the SYE launched an invasion into Sipedro proper a largescale uprising began in the Utsong Protectorate, with the so called 'Free Utsong Movement' seizing control over several territories in the region. The SYE decided to continue this invasion despite the disruption caused by the expanding Utsongan uprising, attempting to use psychological warfare in an attack into Fietrar. Sipedro continued to advance in the Beijing front, linking up with Lineland to advance quickly into the region as the SYE attempted to hold them off by using chemical weapons and spiked armour, which eventually allowed them to launch a counteroffensive that led to the city being resecured. Tired of Kalevala blocking their trade-routes, the SYE declared war on them and later on launched an invasion into Kalevala to secure these routes after their next major defeat.
Hoping to rectify their lack of momentum, Yorica greatly expanded its territories and mobilized itself to go on the offensive into the British Isles alongside Sipedro, hoping to secure the region as a base of operations for a future invasion of Yetia. This invasion was incredibly successful, with Ireland quickly falling and a invasion into England thru Liverpool all ending in major victories for the Coalition. With the SYE distracted with its invasion of Kalevala, the Coalition launched an invasion into the Yetian mainland thru Waclaw City, which the SYE managed push back into the sea alongside a counter-invasion into Coalition-occupied Scotland and rural Kalevala. The SYE largely managed to regain the upper hand thanks to their offensives, though they were regardless in certain regions put on the retreat by Choros and Free Utsong launching their own offensives, during which the governments of the Free Utsong Movement and Utsong in Exile were overthrown by a military leader calling himself 'Gushihan Khan', declaring himself the ruler of the Utsongan Khanate. With Utsong's new government being far more imperialistic than its previous one, Utsong and the SYE managed to agree on a peace treaty that saw the former's withdrawal from the conflict in return for independence.
The situation for the SYE began to gradually look more and more desperate as internal resistance expanded, with the regime desperately fighting back against internal sabotage and external threats. Lineland was the next to begin pursuing major offensive operations by invading Sizzle Island, soon being joined by the previously neutral Nilastan in return for control over the territory as the SYE desperately tried to hold off in the highly undersupplied territory with the use of minefields and bombing runs. The battle in this region was particularly brutal as the cold and muddy terrain slowed both armies as bombs rained down from above, eventually allowing the Coalition to secure control over the island. Hoping to not lose more valuable ports, the SYE launched a new offensive in the British front by pushing south from their holdings in Scotland against the Yorican defensive lines, eventually forcing Yorica to withdraw from the British Isles as it put its focus elsewhere. Making use of their new naval base in occupied Sizzle Island, Lineland launched an invasion of nearby Abard, initially facing major victories until the Abardean forces managed to slow down their advance. Hoping to stop the Linelandic advance, the SYE deployed their first division modified with the 'Brain Block' implants, arriving in New Abard once Lineland began advancing deep into the region, with Lineland initially offering Abard assurances of continued sovereignty if it surrendered, only to be suddenly ambushed once they halted their advance to allow Abard to decide its fate. Lineland continued to advance against coming SYE reinforcements after faking a retreat and encircling the enemy, soon securing the rest of Abard.
Coalition Counteroffensives
Hoping to finally achieve their decisive victory, the SYE launched a surprise offensive against Lineland in their mainland, pushing them out of SYE territory back to their borders. The Kalevala front soon also began to see activity as the SYE advanced into Karelia, giving them the necessary breathing room to launch a rapid offensive into Lineland in order to hopefully seize their capital of Yakutsk. This offensive began as a massive success for the SYE, punching Lineland all the way back to the Lena river where Lineland finally stopped their advance. Despite many other Linelandic territories such as Magadan and Sakhalin falling to SYE forces, they managed to regardless beat back the enemy advance at the Battle of Yakutsk, leading to largescale civil unrest in the SYE as both Sizzleans and Yetians began protests, which were swiftly crushed by military force. Some of the more notable occurrences during this period of unrest included the likes of a brief staged uprising in England and largescale mutinies in Ireland.
Hoping to draw attention away from their internal tensions, the SYE launched an attack into occupied Abard and deeper into Kalevala, though they also faced oncoming attacks form nations such as Choros advancing deeper into SYE territory, depleting the SYE's morale greatly despite holding back many such attacks. Kalevala would take this weakened morale as its opportunity for victory, punching through SYE lines near Lake Ladoga to rush eastwards, leading to a devastating defeat for the SYE that lead to 180 thousand casualties and 210 soldiers captured by Kalevala. This incident began causing significant rifts between the Sizzlean and Yetian sections of the empire as arguments between military forces and even higher administration broke out. Taking advantage of its weakened state, the Coalition launched an invasion of occupied Rapa Nui, a second offensive into occupied Kalevala, and a new offensive through Choros. Hoping to quell the ongoing disobedience in the Yetian section of the military, the SYE began instituting harsher and harsher discipline onto its soldiers, which eventually seemed to be somewhat effective. The SYE initially planned to make its next invasion be Yorica, yet due to resource shortages it was cancelled, leding to the SYE turning its attention to a location where they could secure oil. In their desperation, the SYE launched a surprise attack into Sarpistan, drawing the HASATBC into the war as Hongerswak came to Sarpistan's aid. Luckily for Sarpistan, Choros' offensive managed to cut off supplies into south-eastern Yetia, subsequently leading to the destruction of this offensive. The SYE panicked to the point of considering employing YNF war-androids, only for Sipedro to take the idea and adapting its sex robots to be combat-capable, with the Yetian military factions' proposals to utilise robots of their own being suddenly shut down by their higher ups.
As the SYE was panicking, the Irish suddenly launched a largescale revolt to restore their independence, which was quickly successful as the SYE's attempts to divide them by establishing a sovereign Northern Ireland failed due to Northern Ireland deciding to side with the Coalition. The SYE scrambled to hold off the favour fronts it was losing ground on as crisis brewed within the nation due to ever-increasing food shortages, which were attempted to be fixed via largescale potato cultivation until a blight outbreak ruined their crops. Deciding that Choros was their best bet to victory, Yorica and Sipedro began sending significant forces to them to push deeper into Yetia, which was largely successful despite these plans being leaked by spies, due to them being on drugs and involved in accidental pregnancies due to the chaotic nature of Sipedroan social life. The SYE began to fall back on all fronts, coinciding with the first sets of Sipedroan war-androids being deployed and rebels setting off various terrorist attacks throughout the empire. With the fronts around Yetia actively collapsing for the SYE, Sipedro sent a massive army to Beijing once more, only to find the city largely abandoned. Using this lack of defences as an opportunity, Sipedro and Lineland launched a massive offensive in Asia as Linelandic forces marched against their occupiers and Sipedroan soldiers spread out into the countryside. The SYE freaked out and began threatening the use of nuclear weapons due to Sipedro's use of war-androids and the Linelandic offensive, which had caused massive casualties due to Lineland's maneuvre-based warfare. SYE forces quickly fled out of Lineland back towards their home territory in order to not face more losses, setting up a defensive line near the city of Vanino. Sipedro was freaked out by the threats of nuclear war, deciding to promptly begin the construction of fallout shelters, which were soon investigated by remaining SYE forces in coastal Sipedro whom launched a series of raids to map out the situation in Sipedro, only to be attacked by remaining soldiers in the mainland alongside their new war androids.
Collapse of the Sizzlean-Yetian Empire
The SYE was angered by the usage of the war-androids, with their usage seemingly being more important to them than thousands of their soldiers being encircled and destroyed by Lineland, until the SYE suddenly launched two nuclear strikes into Lineland. This seemed to only embolden Lineland as they pushed deeper into Sizzle, eventually meeting up with Sipedro's forces in the region and facing the full might of the SYE in the Second Battle of Beijing, which would soon tip in the Coalition's favour. The SYE attempted to gather reinforcements from Yetia, although the situation there had become increasingly dire as the 'Kingdom of Yetevia' movement that had aligned itself with the Coalition and certain other smaller insurrections rose up against the imperial government in the region. Despite being struck by nuclear weapons and facing occasional Sizzlean raids into its territory, Lineland kept advancing deeper and deeper into Sizzle, sweeping up insurgents into their ranks as they marched into the rapidly collapsing remaining regions alongside their Sipedroan allies. Sizzle sent massive reinforcements to fight back the offensive, only to see the Sizzlean Parliament in Xining collapse into the ground as some kind of limb emerged from the rubble, making them flee from fear. Linelandic forces moved into Xining towards these unfolding events once they had successfully secured Beijing, being forced to utilise protective gear and rely on Sipedro's War-Androids due to Sizzle releasing various diseases into the region. During their advance into Xining the Linelandic forces encountered an unusual man who questioned what they were doing, identifying himself as 'King John of Sizzle', whom was presumed dead after the Later Empire Wars. Lineland explained to him all that had occurred since his disappearence, which successfully convinced him to rally against the SYE.
With Yetia still in a weak position and Sizzle in a chaotic position, the Coalition decided to make their next move be into Yetia as all nations of the Coalition launched a largescale offensive into Yetia from all sides as Kalevala landed in Yetia's baltic coast, Choros, Sipedro, and Yorica invaded through the balkans, and Ireland invaded Great Britain. The Imperial forces in Sizzle continued to falter as King John's Army (which goed by the name of "Second Zanssi" sabotaged their attempts to reconquer occupied lands, allowing Lineland to regain the upper hand and continue its own offensive. The SYE began to fall into desperation as they began attempting more drastic military operations that kept failing on every attempt, with the continued war effort becoming increasingly unpopular as Yetia City fell and the Coalition moved towards Newtown, soon forcing the Yetian part of the empire to surrender to the Coalition. Only Sizzle remained standing as the Coalition circled around them, soon also capitulating once King Alex III Robinson was killed by King John Hunter.
