Floppa Clan was greatly angered by the territorial losses it faced at the end of the Seventh Swagonian War, thus it teamed up with the newly founded nation of Bongo to establish the 'Orientalis Liberation Front' to oppose the influence of the Feline Federation, with many other nations in Greater Orientalis such as Könbatysçir, Svahkonie, Bingusia, Dunavodia, West Suscir, Free State of Plompystan, People's Republic of Plompystan (with both Plompy nations ending hostilities), Googalia, Sakalarya, Floppa City, and Vietflop joined at first. The alliance soon spread into the Swagonian warlords as they all agreed on a ceasefire in return for peace, leading to Ciudad Gris, Vulcan, Llanuratierra, Tierra Flopeste, and Imperial Swagonia (in return for border territories eastward within the Federation and promising not to try taking over all of Swagonia again). Partisans in Baitang and Bingterra (no Bingland as all partisans there were destroyed) signed up for the alliance as well alongside Sogga Union who was promised control over the Altilai International Airport, with Oriento and Yamato promising lend lease and some volunteer soldiers without fully joining or aligning with the alliance.

Months later, Imperial Swagonia demanded control over the Gulf of Bingus from the Feline Federation, which it refused, soon being followed by Llanuratierra unsuccessfully asking for control over Montaña as it was a Human-majority rather than Sarpian Cat -majority region. Ciudad Gris convinced Gensokyo to give them 'comically large amounts of calcium' in return for control over Junlado. Gensokyo's friend Torium provided the calcium from its 'basement full of millions of animal carcasses that could easily be grinded up into pulp', greatly terrifying Bongo. Bongo tried to convince its allies not to provoke the Federation quite yet as they weren't ready preparing, which Ciudad Gris ignored as it demanded that the Federation hand over Junlado to Gensokyo in order to fulfill the "bone treaty" as if the Federation refused Ciudad Gris would combine the calcium with water to make a big explosion. The Feline Federation obviously refused. Ciudad Gris thus sent a truck carrying calcium and water into the Feline Federation and mixed the two substances "accidentally" in order to bomb the Federation in revenge for its refusal without having to admit responsibility, though who was behind this incident was extremely obvious so the Federation called them out for the attack and proclaimed it would not give up any land to any other nation, even Bingusia who only wanted three meters due to the border going through a house (as the Federation didn't care about said situation). Dunavodia noticed that the Federation was distracted by Ciudad Gris' tomfoolery and encouraged Imperial Swagonia to rush in and claim the regions it demanded, which Imperial Swagonia did despite Bongo trying to make them not do this yet, though soon enough the Federation military expelled the invading army and kept pushing further into Imperial territories with the threat of going further if they didn't back down. Bongo reluctantly decided that now was better than never to intervene against the Federation, with all of the Orientalis Liberation Front's members promptly declaring war on the Feline Federation, prompting Polsk and the TDP to come to the Federation's aid. Seeing blood in the water the Theian Native Reclamation Front consisting of Paraleis, Kanar, and Dina (Dina wasn't a TNRF member, but closely aligned with them) also declared war on the TDP in order to avenge past conflicts, while many other nations such as Yamato, Osania, Oriento, the Theian Republic and Dazhyyn provided funding and equipment for the OLF and TNRF while Ekkosta and many uninvolved TDP members sent aid to the TDP.

As the war began, Polsk authorised the usage of napalm and cluster munitions for a massive bombing campaign of the members of the TNRF while the Feline Federation received extensive funding and reinforcements to defend itself, as the Federation was forced to retreat from northern Floppastan to avoid encirclement while Plompystan FS was launching its own offensive to cut off 'Ard Algharb. Both Imperial Swagonia and Polsk began rearming their experimental airforce and nuclear programs respectively while both sides launched attacks against one another in the Altilai International Airport zone (with Polsk launching countless conventional missiles) and Llanuratierra pushed into Montana. Significant fighting began between Polsk and Paraleis as both sides' formidable sea-navies scored a series of major victories against one another while bombers flew above and Polskan soldiers attacked north. Polsk began navally landing northern Paraleis, with two landings managing to make it past their navy. Kanar began sending reinforcements to Paraleis thru a previously secret highspeed rail, though this still took many weeks for soldiers to arrive and the tunnel was quite quickly found and destroyed by Polsk after only some soldiers got past which forced Kanar to start making a new one thru Uchtadaryo. The Feline Federation launched a largescale offensive in Altilai in an attempt to reconnect with its eastern territories. Ciudad Gris began bringing old Air Carrier Duo-273s out of retirement and Llanuratierra began using old Swagonian Battle Satellites while the YNF hired a mercenary army to help defend against an incoming Kanaran invasion. The Feline Federation decided to clean up its front lines by launching a massive offensive against Könbatscir, who was forced to evacuate into Dunavodia. The combined forces in the OLF launched a widespread attack into the Altilai Airport and the cut off east of the Feline Federation, forcing the Federation to send its only half-prepared army into a offensive against Imperial Swagonia and Plompystans to try to reconnect and evacuate the encircled soldiers, though the offensive soon failed which forced them to try desperately evacuating all they could via river boats sailing thru enemy territory. The disaster in the east led to 65% of the soldiers in the area dying or being captured, greatly weakening the Federation and damaging its image.

The Feline Federation was thrown into turmoil as the government was blamed for the catastrophic defeat, leading to widespread mutinies by the "Survivor's Battalion" which had just barely made it out of the encirclement, soon esdcalating into a full scale coup as the Survivors Battalion occupied Bingbong and seized control over the government, proclaiming the stratocratic/corporatocratic "Republic of Altilai" in its place. This was met with widespread condemnation as Altilai was expelled from the TDP (although they still remained as a co-belligarent) as Polsk as a whole withdrew from the Orientalis front, handing over the Altilai Airport to Sogga Union. Altilai swiftly began trying to reorganize as many of its northwestern territories fell into turmoil as the separatist Baitang Interim Independent Administration and anti-RoA Neo-Federalist Movement rose up against their government, leading to Altilai dissolving the Interim Government of Baitang which caused many members of the old government to revolt under the 'Baitang Federal Government', though due to a defeat during a failed approach towards Chinussy the BFG aligned with the Neo-Federalists. The Federal Floppastan Province Government attempted to stage a Neo-Federalist Revolt, though this was shut down before it could go anywhere as all provincial governments were dissolved for 'national security reasons'.

Polsk kept advancing into Paraleis with newly mechanized rocket artillery batteries while besieging the port-cities on the south-coast of the Gulf of Jallas and dealing with widespread resistance movements. Eventually, Polsk managed to break into the besieged ports which forced them to evacuate to the north-side of Paraleis, with Polsk only managing to sink a couple of the fleeing ships as Paraleis' lower quality but more agile fighters proved to be quite capable. Paraleis convinced Dina to begin sending proper reinforcements to assist against the Polskan advance, though this wasn't enough to entirely stop them. The rest of the TDP largely focused on defending the YNF rather than Polsk, with Polsk also deploying forces in YNF to fight back against Kanar. Polsk bombed Kanar relentlessly with napalm, cluster munitions, and radioactive ordinances, though Kanar had spent the past century relentlessly modernizing to the point that it was now finally able to stand up toe-to-toe with Polsk in revenge for the Polsk-Q'nar War, allowing it to counter alot of the bombing with specialized 'shield emitters' which flashed online to misdirect explosives when they went too close to major urban areas. As Polsk kept bombarding Kanar, Kanar began doing the same to Polsk thanks to its highly effective Fractional Orbital Bombardment System (which became a major target for Polskan bombing) which allowed many missiles to strike into Polsk, though many were of course shot down. The Republic of Altilai managed to successfully crush the Neo-Federalists. Kanaran forces in the YNF were forced to retreat to avoid encirclement, prompting Polsk to begin pursuing them only to be forced to do the same manoeuvre to avoid encirclement before continuing a more stable advance. Kanar established a collaborationist state on the coast opposite from YNF-controlled Zento Island. With Polskan forces already invading eastern Paraleis across the Suo River, they also decided to launch another round of naval invasions westwards while partially-successful (due to anti-air) bombing campaigns were launching on the Paraleis Peninsula, prompting Kanar to begin providing Paraleis with Niksqzath-qort Tanks. Zothoth launched an invasion of Zento Island, which Polsk rushed to support while the YNF's own Home Guard managed to destroy a major Kanaran oil refinery which slowed their advance enough for the YNF to proclaim a major counteroffensive alongside a major propaganda effort.

Polsk's government and people began to radicalise back into Human Nationalism due to the war, with a Human-Nationalist president being elected which lead to fears among Polsk's Aethran population as Kanarans were banned and deported alongside restrictions towards targeting civilians in bombings being removed. Polsk's naval invasions in western Paraleis began to connect while the YNF managed to defeat Zothoth on Zento. Polsk demanded that Paraleis surrender, but it didn't as it wished to support its allies' efforts. Polsk's human-nationalism led to a group of Aethrans occupying a village of 200 in Poolsk and proclaiming it as the 'Aithir Republic', though they were swiftly raided and defeated. Paraleis began suffering from supply shortages due to increased Polskan bombing, forcing them to begin importing fuel from Dina while the elite 'Grand Old Legion' was deployed in order to counter CSIS/Polsk Marines, prompting said Marines to begin retreating to over-stretch Paraleis until Polsk's armies suddenly turned around and advanced against the overstretched enemy alongside new marines, forcing Paraleis to adopt the 'Eleftheri Dynami Act' which allowed cut off or encircled armies to operate completely independently from military command to tie up enemy forces. Kanar was largely pushed out of the YNF while Polsk tried to counterattack against Paralesian attacks in its eastern mountains. Polskan forces managed to cut Paraleis in half, allowing them to begin advancing down into the Paraleis Peninsula as Paraleis City was encircled and Tarnia (home-city of the ruling House of Mallas) was captured. Paraleis' military defeats lead to a group calling itself the "New Class of Resistance" rising up in and occupying Paraleis City, proclaiming the monarchy abolished due to its failures as they executed Leontios Mallas, effectively forcing in a military dictatorship, though despite this Paraleis City soon fell to Polsk. Many independent garrisons began considering surrender as Paraleis was pushed to its limits, breaking away as the 'Second Republic of Atensia', which Polsk ignored as it began bombing Dina relentlessly as their next target. Polsk focused on pushing to Dina's borders and into Kanar while bombing both, though the Dina offensives were slowed by Paraleis' military government. Dina's "Self Defence Communes" formed a congress to start defence discussions as the 'Council of People' was deemed ineffective in running a war (especially as Polsk kept bombing their meetings), leading to the formation of a 'Central Military Command' which functioned as somewhat of a state to govern Dina. Polsk began trying to push Dina and Paraleis back while also dealing with the independent garrisons, meanwhile to the east the YNF gathered volunteers from "somewhere" to counterattack against Kanar. The Independent Garrisons launched a "long march" through hostile territory to reconnect with the bulk of their nation's defences in the far-north, allowing Paraleis as a whole to reorganize into a proper fighting force for the first time since the fall of Tarnia.

Back in Orientalis, the Floppa Clan began moving to officially annex Altilaian Floppastan, while Altilai itself advanced into Zelenaya Dolina against Bingusian and Imperial Swagonian defences. Floppa Clan's offensives managed to allow it to capture Floppascus while Altilai was distracted pushing eastward towards the Jun. Various warcrimes were committed by both sides in Plompystan, though Altilai's main focus was an armoured offensive along the Bay of Bingus which saw Imperial Swagonia steamrolled and Bingusia panicked. Llanuratierra suggested annexing Ciudad Gris, but Bongo encouraged its allies to stay united against 'corporatist scum', which made Sogga Union nervous as it had some corporatist tendencies. Once Altilai neared the Jun, it realised that its territories north of the Yanz were being steamrolled and ceased its advances eastwards to deal with the situation. With Altilai distracted, the OLF states in eastern Altilai began fortifying their frontlines with cement and stone forts to better hold back the next attack as Altilai had made it very clear that it was willing to commit war crimes. The Baitang IIA managed to largely expel its occupiers, proclaiming the conservative-socialist Revolutionary Republic of Baitang while to the southeast Sergey Bingstovich lead a revolt in Bingustan. To the east, Altilai managed to advance all the way to the Jun River, thus Ciudad Gris and Bingusia navally invaded occupied western Bingusia in order to liberate it, while Tierra Flopeste saw nuclear warheads as the best way to achieve victory. OLF forces noted a major Altilaian buildup by the mouth of the Jun involving artillery and makeshift bridge supplies, while OLF-occupied Montana was provisionally divided up into Bingusian, Ciudad Gris, and shared West Suscir-Sogga Union occupation zones.

Bongo noted that the OLF needed another major victory, so Dunavodia suggested an attack from north of the Yanz thru Könbatscir and 'Ard Algharb to connect with encircled Plompy and Bingusian forces which could then advance to the Bay of Bingus to cut off the Altilaians, which everyone agreed was a good idea with especially the USO beginning to manufacture tanks for such offensives. Dunavodia occupied Asleepia to act as a staging ground for the OLF to attack from while Altilai was busy bombarding Bingusia, with the only OLF member seeing difficulties being Bingustan due to internal strife as Vladimir Bingus kept demanding power after he was freed from prison. Altilaian forces crossed the Jun and besieged Junlado, which the OLF let happen as they lured them inwards to deadly battles while Dunavodia and the other north-yanz states launched their plan, slamming hundreds of thousands of soldiers and tanks thru the lightly defended area until they reached the north Bingusia pocket, cutting off significant numbers of Altilaian forces in 'Ard Algharb which necessitated largescale Altilaian retreats from Baitang and Bingustan. The OLF invaded south from northwestern Bingusia while Bingusia itself launched naval invasions on the coast, cutting Altilai in half which forced them to desperately begin trying to evacuate which Floppa City's river-navy moved to block, with over 180 thousand soldiers in Junlado alone being captured or killed. Altilai's evacuation efforts nearly universally failed as its soldiers were dealt with en masse while Dunavodia managed to restore Könbatscir. Altilai began to break down due to the defeats, with the Neo-Federalist Army rising up in rebellion (with some Polskan funding) while various local mercenaries began carving up their own warlord states in opposition to the government. With Altilai crumbling in on itself, the OLF launched a mass offensive westwards, allowing the Bingterran White Guards to rise up once more for a Second State of Bingterra alongside a similar revolt in 'Ard Algharb which saw the 'Neo-Floppastani Empire' be proclaimed. With Bingland in chaos, the OLF launched an all-out-offensive into the region, except for Tierra Flopeste which kept attacking the NFE with unorganized mobs, though luckily for them the NFE was disbanded over a 'ham sandwich dispute' that caused most of its military staff to become injured. The last remnants of Altilai and all splinter factions were easily wiped out, with their governments fleeing the country.

With the OLF victorious in Orientalis, a series of annexations and partitions were organized;

• Bongo annexed border territories in Floppastan and Baitang.
• Floppa Clan annexed Federal Floppastan.
• Dunavodia annexed parts of eastern Bingustan
• The Swagonian break-aways partitioned Montaña down the middle from all directions.
• Junlado was given to Gensokyo against its will.
• Supervised-states were established in Bingland and Bingterra, with Bingland opting to restore the Worker's Republic while Bingterra remained authoritarian-conservative.
• The Eastern Binglandish Borderlands were partitioned between Imperial Swagonia and Plompystan FS.
• 'Ard Algharb was restored as a Dunavodian client-state.
• A neutral state was established in West Swagonia in order to avoid disagreements over who should own it. West Swagonia promptly adopted Bundism and proclaimed itself to be the "Jewish Labour Bund of Merb Svagonya".
• Plompystan FS ceded territories to PR Plompystan, splitting Ooglaboo in half.

With Polsk busy with the appearance of an unknown interstellar threat, Polsk and the TNRF agreed upon a peace treaty where they would withdraw from each-others territory as long as Polsk compensated civilian casualties, allowing the OLF and TNRF to declare total victory in the war.
